A prominent Columbia architecture professor punched a female university employee in the face at a Harlem bar during a heated argument about race relations, cops said yesterday.
Police busted Lionel McIntyre, 59, for assault yesterday after his bruised victim, Camille Davis, filed charges.
McIntyre and Davis, who works as a production manager in the school's theater department, are both regulars at Toast, a popular university bar on Broadway and 125th Street, sources said.
The professor, who is black, had been engaged in a fiery discussion about "white privilege" with Davis, who is white, and another male regular, who is also white, Friday night at 10:30 when fists started flying, patrons said.

I’d say he acted ‘stupidly’, wouldn’t you?
Break out a case of brewskis.
Nothing says “I’ve lost the argument” quite like taking a swing at your opponent.
No, I'd say the woman acted stupidly by placing her face in front of the fist of a Black man who has every right to defend himself against obvious racial bias.
Uh, do I need the /s tag?
Looks like it’s beer time at the White House. Oh, wait, that’s what got them into trouble in the first place. How about some nice soothing tea?
“Racism” - assuming something about someone based on that individual’s racial make up.
“White Privilege” - assuming that whites have had it easy simply because they’re white.
They were just celebrating diversity.
Now, now....remember what Dear Reader says when it comes to some "group" he approves of:
“Oh, no, no tea! Tea give me a headache!”
I’m surprised she argued the point with him in the first place considering they both worked at the university. My second point is what does she look like? Was it a fair fight?
The white person is always considered racist and guilty of a hate crime. That’s just the way it is today.
No you do not need the /s tag. You need some re education. Of course he was justified in assaulting her when she would not agree that he was a victim of white privilege and she was a recipient of white privilege.
Before I read the article, I was not sure about the source of the charge of white privilege. I have been lectured by rich white women about my guilt in white privilege. I thought perhaps that she made the assertions about white privilege. I chose to walk out of talk and scream loudly in the hall afterwards. My wife banned me from future meetings in which white privilege would be asserted.
he punched uh whitey biotch in da face what ‘chew thinking man? whitey biotch made him angry don’t make him shank ya!
jus’ sayin
I hope her “white privilege” protects her rights better than it protected the voters who were intimidated by the black panthers at the polling place.
“Break out a case of brewskis.”
............on the white house lawn, right?
I'm always open for educational opportunities. Obviously I'm a product of the pre-enlightenment. Lowly White man that I am; beset by both feminist and racial inequalities and such. It may be I need all the education I can get.
I have been lectured by rich white women about my guilt in white privilege.
But then, after reading this, I may recant my need for further education. Lowly White man that I am, I've not been faces with such lectures as I don't run in circles where female sharks troll. Seeing that as a plus, I suspect I'm better of as I am. Education be damned. I'll stick to my solitude, and ignorant bliss.
He’s lucky he didn’t get his ass kicked by the other patron for punching a woman in the face.
