I thought a few more House Reps would want to keep their jobs also. Boy, was I ever wrong.

Think again. There are 41 Dem Senate seats that are not up for election in 2010. Of the remainder that are, eleven are considered 'safe'. That's 52 seats - two more than they need to get this passed.

Do not underestimate the power of the dark side. They will do everything in their power to get this passed. It will take 51 Senators of conviction to keep it from passing; and as it stands now, there are far less than 51. And don't even think about a filibuster. That rule will be done away with by those same 50 Senators.
