...how cavalierly some are willing to decide that someone else's life "isn't worth living"?

If, perchance, you include me in your criticism, you are flat out wrong.

Due to so much progress made in the medical field, which I applaud, families must now deal with making complicated and difficult decisions such as they never faced in the past. Having limited information here on Free Republic, everything said is no more than an opinion. As much as we might want everything to be a black or white issue, like it or not, some fall into a gray area.

Hey, dude/dudette/whatever. Leave my daughter out of this, alrighty then.

Do you need to be reminded that you brought her into this debate? Why? I suggest you admired her "wisdom" and I also suggest that you leave a child's expectedly immature opinions out of the discussion.

As I previously asked, why would you discuss such a serious situation with a 3rd grade child?

One of my kids was so far ahead of her class that the school recommended I allow her to skip a grade, which she did. Very intelligent, indeed, but still a child. Due to inheriting recessive genes from both her parents, she became legally blind at age eight. Despite that hardship, she was always an honor student in the Catholic schools and now earns a very large salary.

Regardless of her outstanding accomplishments, she was very much a child during her school years and I consider that normal.

Your smart-assed dude/dudette comment was totally uncalled for and is typical of other comments you've made on this thread, such as "So you condemn ALL life saving medical procedures?" and that I apparently don't like children, and other statements.

Purely defensive criticism put to me... someone who enjoys a close relationship with all my adult children and all my grandchildren. As a matter of fact, my husband and I rent a 5-bedroom, 3-bath condo at the beach each year and all the family get together there.

Please stop making stupid comments; you're not as smart as you think you are.

That includes your black and white opinion about this little boy.

I've nothing more to say.

Thank you. I've no more wishes to see insults about my daughter or to see calls for this little boy's murder. Glad life has treated you and yours so good. I will keep praying for a miracle for 'RB', that his life isn't taken by a death panel pressuring his young parents because he isn't 'perfect', which sadly is something some people here endorse. :*(

If, perchance, you include me in your criticism, you are flat out wrong.

If you support the culture of death then you are included.

Due to so much progress made in the medical field, which I applaud, families must now deal with making complicated and difficult decisions such as they never faced in the past.

Nonsense.

Having limited information here on Free Republic, everything said is no more than an opinion.

False, mankind has known basic right and wrong when it comes to innocent life for thousands of years.

As much as we might want everything to be a black or white issue, like it or not, some fall into a gray area.

In my experience, people who talk about "gray areas" are ALWAYS on the side of death.

Despite what the moral relativism crowd would have us believe many things actually are "black or white issues" and live is one of them.

Pro-death trolls are blah, blah, blah. When it’s their turn to stand before a death panel, they’ll be the ones handing over a bribe. Yes, who doesn’t think death panels/committees won’t be subject to bribes?

Floridians BEWARE: Paula Dockery is running for Florida Governor (R) for rino. She was on Terri's Death Panel voting for Terri to be murdered.

Paula Dockery is a killer legislator. Never forget.

Paula Dockery was one of the Schiavo Nine and the Ultrasound Seven. She despises innocent people, and wants them killed.
