Shouldn’t come as any surprise; the Russians, Chinese, North Koreans, Vietnamese, Laos, and Cubans - to name a few - all thought the same thing. The US Congress just comes a bit late to the party at No. 1, Idiot’s Delight, that’s all. And there’s no shortage of idiots in congress, that’s for sure.

As an American, I am embarrassed that the U.S. House of Representatives has 220 members who actually believe the government can successfully centrally plan the medical and insurance industries.
Socialists aren't concerned with planning an efficient system. Their purpose is total control over the people.

No matter how honorable the central planners' intentions, they will fail because they cannot know the needs and wishes of 300 million different people. And if they somehow did know their needs, they wouldn't know them tomorrow. The problem in a nutshell.

Good article. Central planning failed in the Soviet Union and it will fail in America. The government can't keep track of a jihadist at Fort Hood. How do people think it will keep track of a health care system affecting 300 million? It can't find one man but we're expected to believe it can deliver timely, accessible and affordable health care for the entire country.
Yeah, sure.

Oh, I have no doubt, NO DOUBT whatsoever, that this bill can and will reduce the amount of resources America utulizes in healthcare portion of the economy. There will be an almost immediate reduction in the number of physicians by about half. How will one spend money on an item that simply is no longer available? Prest-CHANGEo (as we used to say when children)!
I have no doubt SEIU will step in with clinics staffed with "health technicians" who will inform you of your healthcare rights while standing at the "healthcare window" after they listen to your request for healthcare (that has to be limited to a single 20 second question). Welcome to the New America!

220 members who actually believe the government can successfully centrally plan the medical and insurance industries.I don't think mơst of those Representatives believe any such thing. They believe in all power to the government- socialism and whatever measures it takes to bring that ideal to fruition.

These people do not think. I doubt that they are allowed to think. It’s all for the Party and nothing else.
