I think every soldier in that photo should have been wearing a sidearm. I doubt that the Secret Service would have approved of that notion. But I agree.

Why does the media have her in the limelight and no mention of him? She was shot and he wasn't. But you know about him don't you? Where did you get the information? He was covered, just not quite as quickly. Doubt it bothers him any.

The fourth photo, showing the lady clutching the photo of one of the departed and touching the tip of one of the boots... thats the one that got to me. That was the youngest of the group. Just 19.

Glad to get Todd’s out there. He guess he iskeeping quiet because Munley drew the fire to her. Wonder if she was ridding shotgun and he was driving. My guess is that one of the bullets in the perps is his. IAC, this is wild west stuff. Both deserve medals.

As I recall, she fired at the jihad-monkey while Todd went around and flanked him. Todd did not know it she had hit the jihaddi or not. Others say she did. As you say, she was down by the time Todd got around the corner.
But they were partners, and took him down as a team, irregardless of whose gun or guns the rounds that hit him came from.

Wonder if she was ridding shotgun and he was driving My understanding is that they ran to the scene from nearby where they were working traffic for a graduation ceremony for those whose "regular" ceremony took place while they were deployed. Many of them, including the medic who treated both Munley and Hasan, ran to the aide of their fellows.

He was on Fox the other day and he had nothing but praise for her — I believe he said that she had saved his life on another occasion. Was his name Todd (last name?)

I've wondered the same thing, I have heard her shot slowed him and her partners shot brought him down. Why are we hearing nothing about the partner? Our media is horrible, if the White House doesn't tell them what to say they are struck dumb.

Is it me or does Hussein look slightly disgusted at having to salute the soldiers who were killed (see photo)? He’s probably ticked that he’s having to miss a golf game.

Is it sexist to describe a war heroine with the word “adorable”?

Does it really matter who gets the credit? The killer is in custody.

I think FReepers should start campaigning for her to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

From what I hear, they hurt like hell! probably more than the bullets she took... Didn't seem so to me.
I don't care for tattoos on women, but this lady is definitely a heroine.
Reportedly she went towards major scuzrag when he began shooting at her, and put four rounds in the dirtbag.
Had she been in the service still, I'd say minimum Silver Star, if not Distinguished Service Cross. I hope she gets an appropriate honor. She deserves it.

...most likely Christian American blood was transfused into him and kept him alive. If that's the case, I see an opportunity to inflict some payback on that monster.
The hospital staff should let him know that his life was saved by an infusion of Christian blood. From a woman.
He'll probably rip his own jugular out.

Tatoos aint for sissies! From what I hear, they hurt like hell! When the tattooing starts, it does, but then your endorphins kick in and it's not so bad.

"heroine" who took down gunman?
I thought it was Officer Mark Todd who took down the gunman after Munley was shot and on the ground? This is so confusing... unless it's the usual PC crap.
To: rabidralph
Does it really matter who gets the credit? The killer is in custody. I'd prefer he had made a visit to Dover AFB, for an autopsy, and now lay in some Muzzie cemetery in Virginia, or if they wanted to come claim the body, in Yemen.
But I can be patient, and wait for The Big Needle.
