Some are comparing 2010 to 1994, when the GOP picked up 50+ seats in the House. Heck, I'm hoping for a repeat of 1938, when the GOP won about 80 House seats.

However, we should all expect the MSM to pull out all the stops. How can we forget 2006? Leading up to the final weeks of that campaign, the GOP was making good strides, pulling about even with the Dems, when the Foley scandal exploded. The MSM went 24/7 with Foley, sending GOP numbers in a tail spin, headed for a wipe out Election Night 2006. Look for the MSM to try the same thing in 2010.

Did anyone ever notice how the MSM dropped the Foley story after the election. Rarely heard the name Foley again...

While I expect the MSM to mostly revert to type in the upcoming election season, don't forget that they've become increasingly critical of Obama. More and more accurate (and damning) reporting is coming out of the traditionally liberal media every day.

I surmise that they've detected which way the popular winds are blowing, and are a bit nervous about being blown off the precipice with the radical, left-wing Democrats.

I wouldn't exactly bet on them "pulling out all the stops", though I do expect a degree of sympathetic support for Democrats in general from them.

When the MSM brazenly stumped for Obama, they were correctly reading the electoral wind direction. I'd be very surprised if they endangered their shaky standing with the public by enthusiastically backing the losing side of a major power shift in Congress.
