Obama is talking about financial crisis, the PM has promised $5billion in aid to Afghanistan, and I think I am seeing some concern in Obamas speech pattern here, he can see the PM as being against Obama in certain areas most notibly about Afghanistan.
Now its a news conference, they are discussing nuclear refueling and such.

Personally I think he only stopped here by what he actually said in his speech, and he most pointedly referred to Alaska as the last of 50 states for him to visit.
He knows about his 57 state preference, he also knows its a tradition for any POTUS traveling to Asia to stop in Alaska, I was in Anchoarge when Bill Clinton arrived, I actually was within several hundred feet of his motorcade when it passed by, weirdest thing I ever saw in my life all the escort vehicles, the gunships overhead and the absolute efficiency of it passing by.

To me a squirrel is an annoying little creature that runs into the road, stops, reverses direction, stops again, and reverses again in a state of total confusion and panic.
Then he makes a thumping noise as your wheel runs over him.
