FORT HOOD, Texas — The attorney for the Army psychiatrist accused of killing fellow soldiers at Fort Hood says doctors have told the soldier he may be paralyzed from the waist down. Attorney John Galligan told The Associated Press on Friday that Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan told him that he has no feeling in his legs and doctors say the condition may be permanent. Galligan says Hasan also told him he had extreme pain in his hands. Hasan was shot by police officers responding to last week's shootings at Fort Hood. Galligan spoke with him Thursday in the intensive care unit at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. Hasan has been charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder in the attack at the sprawling Texas post that also left 29 people wounded. THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.

Can’t help but note that his victims have lost feeling in a lot more than their hands, and it is a certainty that THEY’LL never walk again.

It’s okay, Major. You don’t need to be vertical to be executed. It’s easy enough to transfer you from one gurney to the next.

Let’s hope he suffers a lot, right up to the point when he is sent to spend eternity with 72 Helen Thomas’s who have not showered in a decade.

Funny! That would make waterboarding look like a picnic.

I do find it funny how he has extreme pain in his hands. Figures.

With any luck at all, he’ll suffer this condition for only a few months.

If they are trying to drum up sympathy for the killer of women and babies, it is not working. To end his suffering, we should wheel him before a firing squad. He should be treated like a mad dog.

The just have to cut the trap door a little larger for the wheelchair. Then again, how about strapping him into the wheelchair, attach it to a trebuchet, and flinging his ass across the countryside.

It is a sad state of affairs in America when so many people are thinking this creep might persue a lawsuit. Even worse is that some laywer might take the case.
