Consumer Confidence Is Tumbling Back Down
The Business Insider ^ | 11/13/09

The Reuters/U. of Michigan Consumer Sentiment November report just hit the wire and the results are not looking good. Sentiment fell during early November to the weakest level in three months due to a weak economy and lagging job market. The index of consumer expectations fell to 63.7 in early November from 68.6 in October.

Reuters: "Confidence tumbled in early November due to the grim financial realities faced by consumers as well as weaker economic prospects for the year ahead -- importantly, the decline in confidence was already in place before the announced increase in the unemployment rate to 10.2 percent on November 6," the Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers statement said.

No kidding. People without jobs probably don’t feel too “confident.”

This is very very bad (but entire EXPECTED):

"importantly, the decline in confidence was already in place before the announced increase in the unemployment rate to 10.2 percent on November 6"

So confidence took a tumble BEFORE this sobering unemployment number came out. It's going to be a bleak Christmas shopping season (duh).

Do not spend any money you don’t have to. We have to starve the beast. Postpone major purchases as long as possible.

How can it possibly go UP when you have a Communist that is taxing us to death and running up out debt like no other President and we're not done yet. Cap and Trade is coming. Universal Health care is still being debated. It's disastrous. The unemployment figure is more like 20%!

We are purchasing as little as possible, and encouraging others to do the same. Staying home, guarding the property, so to speak.

Hussein is at our doorstep waiting to break in and steal everything we own and earn.

Right now we are at a standoff.
