Sarah Palin will be a keynote speaker at the Sierra-Cascade Logging Conference in Redding on Feb. 8.

Nadine Bailey, executive director for the conference, said Palin will speak for 30 to 45 minutes at the Convention Center that evening to kick off the week-long timber industry gathering.

Conference organizers and Palin's representatives haven't settled on a theme for the former Alaska governor and 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee's speech.

But Palin will stop in Redding, in part, to promote her book, Bailey said. The book, "Going Rogue," will be released Tuesday.

No, she’ll be out in CA next month for her book tour, and then back in Feb to speak to the loggers.

I love this comment under the article:

IndyGuy writes:

There once was a man named Obama
That Looney Libs thought was their mama
When along came this Palin
They all started wailin’
And wetting their lower pajama

“They are lumberjacks and they’re OK...”

Having attended many of these conferences in the past, I can guarantee that Sarah will be welcomed with open arms in Redding, CA. A pretty gal is a sight for sore eyes after spending 7-8 months in the woods with a bunch of stinky smelly guys. And this one (Sarah) is smart, to boot!

I speak from experience. I married one of them “Redding gals” nearly 30 years ago.

Any FReeper loggers from Redding, Mt. Shasta, McCloud area out there?
