Well I voted for Palin. McCain just happen to be on the ticket. I will vote and even work for her again.
99% of the people I have spoken to about the race said exactly that: they voted for Palin - not McCain. I've spoken to a heck of a lot of people about the last presidential race.
My favorite pro-Palin voter was a young meter maid from inner city Boston. She so admired Palin and said she could not wait to vote for her.
