Beg to differ. They hate, loathe and despise America, western civ and most of their fellow citizens.
But they adore themselves and those who think like them, largely because they qualify themselves as wonderful people by the fact of their hatred for the rest of us.
They are self-loathing, but they are not strong enough to kill themselves...so...they act it out by attacking others.

Actually I think hal ogen is right.
Liberals have no moral compass. They know they're wrong so they hate themselves for it.
But, in order to exist they must rationalize their existence. So, they try to pull everyone else down to their level. They accuse America of being an oppressor etc.
Then they can say: "See, I'm not so bad."
Of course I could be wrong.
