when Palin is actively running for President, all this stuff will be old news It sure will. She will have been vetted and inoculated as thoroughly as it is possible to be.

What Palin supporters do not understand in this debate that all of us who are arguing against Palin now will for certain support her all the way if she is the nominee of the Republican Party. But in my opinion she is not going to be the Republican nominee let alone be President if she does not change drastically her badly damaged image outside the hardcore conservative base. You keep saying that but she has higher approval among Independents than any one else with 49% approval rating from Independents.

Whose poll is that? Also you need to look at other polls. I think Rasmussen and CNN polls say a different story about Palin, Huckabee, and Romney.

That is the November 17-18 Fox poll.
http://www.foxnews.com/projects/pdf/111909_PalinPoll.pdf
Rasmussen’s pre-book polling of November 13-14 has Palin at 51% approval among likely voters nationwide.

Fox polls seem to skew pub as much as CNN does lib. I can’t find the latest from Ras, you got it?

Fox polls seem to skew pub as much as CNN does lib. How or why would they be skewing their poll when they are comparing Republican candidates?

Uhhh, to skew up the overall numbers for the pubs?
This poll has 38% dim, 36% pub and 20% indy. From what I can remember from other polls it seems like the pub numbers are oversampled and the indys under.
Just a guess.

That is interesting results from Rass. Didn't he have a poll showing both Romney and Huckabee ahead of her?

Uhhh, to skew up the overall numbers for the pubs? I don't see why. The only real use of the poll is to see how the Republicans rank among themselves.

It’s slightly skewed to make it look like the pubs are faring better than they are to the general public.
Seriously, do I have to explain this? It’s a given that polls from units like CBS and Pew are skewed but Fox is clean as the driven snow?

I’m merely pointing out that it isn’t skewed to Palin, feel free to attack Fox for making the numbers across the board for every republican look higher.

Well, based on that it looks like Huckabee is the frontrunner since his favs are similar to Palins but unfavs are dramatically lower 23-42.
42% in this skewed poll! In others, including Ras I think her unfavs are over 50%. That’s death for a politican.

You are desperate, and it looks like you skipped over the Rasmussen poll of November 13-14 (of likely voters) that puts her approval at 51%.
