I don't think she will run for president. She seems to be running to be the next Oprah, at which she could be extraordinary. (Or the anti-Oprah.) President? I never saw her as presidential, though I do like her, and now, I think she's such damaged goods that she has no future in politics.
Considering the power Oprah has, what one could call "soft" power, or hard to quantify power, taking an elective office would be a step down for Palin. As the host of a talk show, considering our current media-saturated world, she could be a whole new thing, a kind we've never seen before.
I do not see Sarah hunting for your sympathy. Just plain amazes me to observe the Jon Stewart media attempted to pick every ounce of flesh off her bones and liberals politicos attempted to financially destroy her. Then I get to read conservatives writing out the final sentence upon her. NO wonder George W. Bush had to qualify a new brand of conservatism ... with that word compassionate.
In my opinion, if she does not get her acts together and work very hard on enhancing her communications skills, the 2012 primaries debates with other Republicans contenders will finish her off, and even many of her supporters will realize that she is not Presidential material. However in the next two years, she may be able to greatly enhance her communication skills, greatly enhance her damaged picture outside the conservative base, and then she may have a good chance of winning the primaries and the elections.
I honestly think she could be more influential and powerful as the next conservative Oprah then she would be as President of the United States. She doesn’t need the grief.

She doesn’t bring it up. The left is constantly looking for ways to attack her through her kids.
Kids are never fair game.
As compared to who, or is that "whom?"
She may not be ready for prime time in 2012 but she can grow into being ready in 2016.
