I am gaining a modicum of respect for Gov. Paterson. He was right on this one and his recent denouncement of the state legislature for their unwillingness to deal with the budget deficit. He still shoots himself in the foot once in a while....
Well, that’ll happen...

My God - I thought I was the only one.
He’s still a goof, but in a recent commercial he finally talked tough and forced me to admit a small but grudging admiration that he was finally pushing back.
I’ll never vote for him or agree with his politics, but he was getting badly bullied, and I hate that.

I’ll give him this... though I don’t agree with his politics most of the time, he does have a bit of an independent streak, and is not fearful of facing 0bama down.
Do you *honestly* believe that this is Patterson's *personal* opinion on this? Wow,I'm 150 miles away from Albany and can see that he's lying through his teeth. He knows that the *citizens* on NY State (and, most likely,NYC as well) oppose this trial but a fine "progressive" like him can't wait (privately, that is) to see Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld be indicted in The Hague as the result of "evidence" produced during this trial.
