One of the best annual meteor showers will peak in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday, and for some skywatchers the show could be quite impressive.
The best seats are in Asia, but North American observers should be treated to an above average performance of the Leonid meteor shower, weather permitting. The trick for all observers is to head outside in the wee hours of the morning between 1 a.m. and dawn regardless where you live.

Approves.
Overcast.
Keep me posted. I’ll be taking a meteor shower.
Anybody ever notice that he has Brooke Shields’ eyebrows?
Clear but hazy here. At 4am(peak in the east)I’ll be sawing logs. West coasters will probably have a good show. Was out in the Mojave Desert to watch them a few years back...very cool...(very cold too).
Just got in from trying to see some Leonids. Saw about 5, but, also saw 5 Tarids.
I also had a very nice chat with 3 policemen who were responding to a call in the area.
Too cloudy. The one clear area had nothing. Drat.
BUMP! Nothing here in SF bay area yet.
ping
44° outside. Saw two in 1/2hr. Gotta get up at 5:30a UGGG!
clouds dammit!
26 and clear as a bell in northern Utah. Saw 19 from 0430 till 0450. They were strange... started off moving kind of slowly, thought the first two were satellites at first, then they accelerated big time. Only one good bright blue streaker, the rest were yellow to orange and quite faint. Most seemed to come from just east of overhead towards the ESE. Vey cool. Actually, dang cold. My toes are frozen. Sandal weather is definitely over for this year. Enough fun. Gotta get ready for work now.
Big thanks for the heads-up... woulda missed it.
