Walterboro is a small community along Interstate 95. It sits about one hour north of Savannah, Georgia. It is a small town typical of the south. It belongs to a section, of the part of South Carolina, known as the Lowcountry. It is 45 minutes from the ocean and has its own watery areas, swamps. When you think of small town America, Walterboro is a place you may think of. But the last week, Walterboro has become like LA.

Hmm, the shooter’s name is Danziel. Yeah, that REALLY sounds like a white southern redneck name. Yawn.

"A drive by left 3 dead (including a one year old child) and 5 injured. It was a drive-by at the corner of Gerideau and McDaniels streets. The family were enjoying the get together when the shots rang out"

Absolutely abysmal, childish writing.

What was the "get together"? A church picnic? A SEIU thugfest? A La Raza rant? A tea party?

All I get from this is that the shooting was a "drive-by"... :-(

Mark Shofner is definitely off my "Examiner read-list"... :-(

Whole lot of inner city people moved back to the area to be with family, and transported all their problems with them.

The closing and destruction of housing projects has dispersed their previous denizens, armed with Section 8 housing vouchers, throughout many suburbs and small towns.

Like many idiotic liberal notions, it was thought that once these people were freed from the evil buildings and grounds that caused them to behave like animals, they would instantly become productive, contributing good citizens.

This article appears to have been written by a retarded person.

"...who wants hits to his blog, but never comes back to reply on FR."

...but replies via FRmail if you mistype and drop a single letter from his name...

Spammers I can deal with; illiterate spammers are a pain to us all.

This thread has taught me to avoid the scribblings of Mr "ff" -- and other sixth-grade "writers"...

It gets worse as the article goes on, comparing it to a 6th grade report would be doing injustice to the 6th graders.
Doesn’t seem like it personal stuff, a drive by was mentioned with a 1 year old getting killed.
Looks like the Ole South is geting a taste of what we in the North / West Coast deal with all the time.

I thought the same thing, as soon as I saw the name I had to laugh. No need to read the rest of the article.

Very poorly written article.

The suthor needs to take a writing course, like 9th grade essay writing. This piece is about the 7th grade level and borders on incoherent.

To all of the readers of the article about Walterboro. I have been a journalist for over a decade. As well as being a published author. I'll admit, this may not have been one of my better articles. Although, with the traffic, it rates as one of my best. As for the get together, it is not an important part of the story. It was placed just to show a gathering of people that turned into victims.

Only because some of us hit the link to see how bad it was. And, it is very, very bad.

I guess it’s a good thing that the comments don’t offend me. After 13 years of receiving a few bad reviews and hate mail, these kinds of comments don’t register much. Go back and read more of my posts. Some are good, some may not be. But remember, that even the best writers don’t always make good reviews. Constructive criticism I listen too. The rest I mark down to either ignorance or the inability to analyze the work. Either way, I generally don’t listen to opinions. Even if you didn’t like it, you read it. That’s the only point that matters.

It's not really a matter of opinion in this case.
