Next up: Katherine Harris, "Going Rouge."
Axelrod and Rahm will be peeing their pants when they see the size of the crowds and enthusiasm for Sarah.
It’s gonna be astonishing, I predict.
Andrea Mitchell just acknowledged that there were 1500 people already in line. Waiting outside the mall until they were allowed inside.
Of course, she just couldn’t help herself and suggested that since Huckabee was in Michigan yesterday he somehow warmed up the crowd for Sarah.
Hope she has good security, leftists are dangerous.
Pray for America and Gov Palin
Hope you’re going. I’m also hoping to see some photos.
I would love to see the ratings of a Palin talk show versus Oprah. She could probably do one for a year or so prior to running for President if she wanted to.
does anyone know if she will be coming to the Northeast for this tour and when that may be(i know it would be behind enemy lines and all that)? i apologize since this is a bit off topic but i would like to go to a book signing if at all possible
thank you
I bought the book and considered going out there early this morning before work and getting a wristband...but didn't.
I'll try after I get out of work.
I'm betting there's 2000 there NOW just to try and get wristbands so they can get in line later.
Remember Sarah isn't scheduled to start signing until 6 PM.

I heard Mike Huckabee on the radio this morning saying that he was in Grand Rapids as part of his book tour (although perhaps it was a rebroadcast from yesterday). Are both Sarah Palin and Huckabee signing books in Grand Rapids on the same day? If so, bad planning by Huckabee.
My Alaska granddaughters attend college in GR, hoping they get to see Sarah.
I work about 10 minutes away from the mall so I went there at lunch to see if I could still get a wristband. You need a wristband to get a guaranteed signature and then you could leave and come back and get into "the line".
Unfortunately all of the wristbands are gone as of 11 AM. The person I talked to at Barnes and Noble didn't know how many they gave out but they gave them out non-stop for 4 hours.
Already as of 12:15 PM (the signing doesn't start until 6 PM) there were 300 or so in the "wristband" line...those lucky ones that had a wristband. This was the good line....it's inside and snakes through the inside of the mall.
There was also a line outside that you COULD get into if you don't have a wristband. IF Sarah gets through all the wristband people before 9 PM they'll let the non-wristband crowd come in. I'm not sure how many were in that line but it's kind of cold out. I MIGHT go into that line after work. At the very least I'm going to swing by there again and see what it looks like.
It was already kind of an event. The media are getting all setup and it's going to be quite the event when she finally shows up.
Hey FOlks even without makeup Sarah still look good there couple of picutre just Sarah very casual
Apparently, you need to buy the book beforehand and present a Barnes and Noble receipt with the 2 (maximum) books you bring to the signing. Most locations seem to be following the mandatory wristband before the signing protocol, and you have to have the books and receipt in your possession before you can get a wristband. So, if you are going to travel a great distance to see her, buy the book(s) at your local B&N and have the receipt with you.
Hi Mary,
I was successful, they did allow two books.
It was an all day affair but well worth the effort. With the number of people at the signing we didn't know if they would just shove us through or if we would have a chance to say something.
Some people spent the night outside the mall, the earliest people coming even before the mall closed the night before. I got there at 6:15 in the morning. On the way there, I was listening to WOOD 1300 and they said there were so many people at the mall entrance already, if you weren't there you might as well forget it. I decided I was not listening to that, but I wonder how many people didn't come because of what they said.
They were opening the doors at 7:00 to give out the wristbands and sell the books. The actual book signing started at 6:00PM. It was chilly and breezy outside, but not frigid and the only thing that got really cold were my feet. Should have worn hiking boots instead of shoes. A really cute young couple, newly married, was in front of me in line. The guy was very tall and very cold, but his wife wouldn't let him leave. We finally made it to the Mall doors by 9:30 and that was welcome warmth.
... When I finally got to her table, she shook my hand, I thanked her for coming to Grand Rapids and told her that my son Matt wanted me to tell her he thought she was awesome. She, looked up, flashed that great smile, and said to tell him thank you very much, and thanks for the encouragement. She struck me as very genuine, no special airs, certainly not a diva.
I plan on putting the book in the mail to you tomorrow. Consider it my Christmas present to you guys. I had a lot of fun, met a lot of neat people in line and even saw Andrea Mitchel, NBC News. She is a little person with quite a large nose.
Here's the whole thing
