The Indiana State Supreme Court has overturned a law that was set to protect the public. Part of Indiana's sex offender law was placed to be retroactive. It was a state amendment to Zachary's law, and now the highest court in Indiana has declared it unconstitutional.

With 30-50 million unregistered illegals (probably SOME are predators, doncha think?) roaming around unmonitored, I guess they figured we could let them all go unwatched...I guess they would hate to see good American sex offenders without the same advantages...
Someone is worried about the Constitution? But, but I thought it was soooo last election!
I’m for adding a public castration to the law.
‘registry’ is a stupid liberal idea.
True predators should not be released to assault the public again.
Article One of the United States Constitution
Section 9:
No bill of attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.
Section 10:
No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

Their minds can be changed of course.
We had one of those registries in Utah. The bureaucrats were adding people to it who had only been investigated, not even arrested. These things are basically worthless and only act to give power to sniveling little Caesars.
Hmmm.
One way to bog down the courts isn't it.
Just thinking that virtually all the guys already on that list of "other convictions" that happened after passage of the law, so they'll just stay there anyway.
Even then once this list is put on the net it’s there forever, I’m sure some LEO knows how to transfer the information. If it hasn’t already been done.
Indiana's Constitution's Bill of Rights says in Article 1 Section 24 ' No ex post facto law, or law impairing the obligations of contracts, shall ever be passed'
We wouldn’t want to be unfair to perverts and pedophiles, now would we.
