Former Vice President Dick Cheney's gay daughter is a mommy twice over.
Mary Cheney gave birth to a six-pound-14-ounce baby girl Wednesday morning at Washington, DC's Sibley Hospital.
The newborn, named Sarah Lynne Cheney, is the second child for the 40-year-old Cheney and her longtime partner, 48-year-old Heather Poe.
The couple welcomed Samuel David Cheney into the world back in 2007.
His birth sent shock waves through the Republican party and rekindled the debate over gay marriage.
Cheney is the birth mother for both children.
The couple has not revealed who is the biological father of either child.
Congratulations to all the Cheneys.
A child is born! A daughter is given!
Praise God!
while I agree with your sentiments, unfortunately it is not only this gay partnership that denies a child a father. It happens every day with out of wedlock parents where the father has nothing to do with his children’s life. I’ve seen it all too often within a youth group I work with. It’s very sad and I feel very lucky that I had a mother and father to raise me. We didn’t have a lot of money, but I had a mom and dad and for that I give thanks.
Well at least she picked a good name: “Sarah”! Instead of something like, say, “Rosie,” “Ellen,” or “Hillary”!
An unfortunate sickness has invaded America.
A daughter needs a father a whole lot more than a woman needs a child.
Sorry, but I don’t support this at all.
Are they soliciting donations?
I don’t support it either, but fortunetaly Cheney and his family will get along just fine without our support.
I raise my family the way I see fit. Cheney’s family.... ‘taint none of my business.
I hear the father's a real jerk off.
I agree.
Congratulations to the proud Parents and Grandparents.
This is why Dick or Lynn should never run for office.
This is sad and not a possitive.
A child was brought into a dysfunctional family.
This little boy is starting out in a broken family.
Amen.
It also happens every day with married couples who end up divorced and the father is given very little visitation rights.
Or do you allow an exemption if the gay family member is ‘excommunicated’?
Are not Conservatives supposed to be FOR strong families?
This child may not have a father, but will have one HELL of a Grandfather.
Do you think that child should be denied having that Grandfather for the sake of said Grandfather's political career?
That's hilarious. You are almost as funny as this guy.
This is true, but the needs of a child is never paramount to people who identify themselves primarily by a warped sexuality. Even the Catholic priests who abused children, the vast majority of who were homosexual, put themselves above their duty to protect children. Homosexuality is not an alternative lifestyle, it's a serious mental disease, professionally designated as such until our recent deluge of forced political correctness.
I absolutely agree.
