I was thinking the same thing.
I watched a Discovery program that had “Conclusive proof” that they were diseased mutants.

It must be frustrating to be a paleontologist and use regression theory, recapitulation theory and preadaptation theory to find Darwin’s evolution. Without the ability to compare the genetic code of the fossils to that of modern humans and present it as proof is just silly.
