Senate Confirms David Hamilton, Obama's First Pro-Abortion Judicial Pick
Washington, DC -- The Senate voted today 59-39 to confirm a pro-abortion federal judge President Barack Obama appointed to become a new appeals court justice. David Hamilton, of Indiana, is the first pro-abortion judge Obama selected, but he was held up for months because of his extreme views.

and Bush had how many judicial nominees tied up for eight years? Someone on our side needs to learn how the game is played.
Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.)
Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.)
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Me.)
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Tex.)
Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.)
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah)
Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska)
Sen. Olympia Snow (R-Me.)
Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.)
Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Ind.)
Add them to your shit list of RINOs who have to get voted out before we can possibly turn this mess around!
59-39. Who didn’t vote?
Round up of the usual RINO suspects.
I could puke!
I hate that guy. TX's contribution to the Senatorial Class.
Can someone please explain to me why 59 Senate votes is more than enough to confirm a Democrat judicial nominee, but not enough to confirm a Republican judicial nominee?
This nominee got 60 (or more than 60) votes to limit debate and proceed to the floor...at which point only 50+1 votes would be needed for confirmation.
No 60 votes to limit debate...no chance for the second vote.
And in this Hamilton case, 10 or so Republicans voted to limit debate. I forgot the exact count.
Ctrl-Alt-Delete the entire cast of congress.
Interesting. McCain and Graham both voted AGAINST this awful commie (as well as several scumbag Obama cabinet nominees and Cass Sunstein's appointment), but "true conservatives" John Thune and John Cornyn sent the nomination to a floor vote knowing that doing so would ensure he was confirmed. I have a funny feeling that if Thune's name was "Lindsey Graham", this thread would result in endless calls for his head on a platter, but since it's not he's allowed to play footsie with the Dems all he wants and it won't damper the enthusiasm of the "Thune 4 PRESIDENT!!!" cheerleader squad here on FR. Maybe it's just me, but I kinda wish Thune was helpful on Bolton's nomination as he is for Obama's scumbags.
And not surprisingly, Lisa Murkowski let this commie get confirmed too. As Impy noted, she's a total different class than the normally conservative Thune -- she's well to the left of McCain and Graham, AND represents a solidly Republican state, AND is up for re-election next year. Oh well, a bunch of freepers say she's a great gal and we should welcome her re-election.
Rats Byrd (WV) and Baucus (MT).
I’m no fan of Graham as you guys know but along with the Mona Lisa (the Anti-Palin) another RINO punk who deserves three times as many hate threads as him is Judge Hamilton’s fellow Hoosier that fossil Dick Lugar who not only voted for cloture on this judge but was the only Republican to vote to confirm him too. Even the abortion enthusiast Maine spinsters voted against confirmation. I guess he was showing some home state courtesy just like Jean Carnahan showed to John Ashcroft, oh wait.
Of course I have yet to meet a Hoosier freeper who will defend Lugar as doing a great job for Indiana and urge him to be promoted up the party ranks. Sadly, the same can't be said of Cornyn, Murkowski, and Thune... they've been mediocre in office (though Thune & Cornyn are good on paper) yet they have a bunch of freepers claiming those three are great conservative leaders. Humph.
Alexander, Collins, Snowe, Gregg, and Hatch are known to play footsie with the Dems so no surprise there.
Saxby Chambliss is usually pretty good. I was disappointed with his vote here. But again I don't see anyone touting this guy as leadership material the way Thune and Cornyn have defenders here.
And yep, Impy's right, although Graham has been sucky on several big issues, in terms of treason level there should be three times as many anti-Lugar threads and anti-Murkowski threads as there are anti-Graham threads.
Thanks. Both of those scum would have voted for the so called judge.
I think Scottish Independence is a good idea for both England and Scotland.
