Breaking news! The Shaniya Davis cause of death is asphyxiation and the autopsy revealed that the little five year old girl was raped. Mario Andrette McNeill has been charged with rape and first degree murder in addition to first degree kidnapping charges. A live press conference was held tonight at 8:00 p.m. and the additional charges were made public. (click here to view a slideshow from the Shaniya Davis case)
Reports state that Mario McNeill has remained in isolation since he surrendered to authorities on November 13, 2009, after being seen carrying Shaniya Davis in his arms in a hotel. Police say they do not believe that Shaniya Davis was killed inside the hotel.

No word yet on any additional charges against the mother who is in jail for basically selling this child for sex (to pay off a drug debt??? that is speculation).

Hang em both high. Heck, hanging them is too good for them. Just shoot em. Disgusting vultures, doing that to this beautiful child. Absolutely disgusting

And another outrage is that WRAL.com’s headline is this:
“Man charged with death of Fayetteville child”.
WRAL is a left leaning news organization.
They OMIT that this child was raped and MURDERED in their headline.
You can’t post comments to their news stories at night - but will be doing so tomorrow...
What I think of this man is unspeakable on this forum.

Seems in these instances, our “justice” simply fails.
I can’t speak my mind here either.
Yep, I’d like to see them BOTH released into the general prison population ....but they are keeping them in isolation “for their own protection.”
And there are people out there who want to legalize drugs.

This poor baby girl never had a chance. A mother who sold her own child into prostitution for drugs. There are no words, that poor baby. So tragic

One of the arguments against the death penalty was that the perp would be more likely to kill the victim, who might identify them, if they faced the death penalty.
A somewhat specious argument made to save lives, or so they said.
BS. The perps just kill them anyways.

This story just makes me heartsick and angry. Every time I see the picture of that little child looking so beautiful and happy and innocent in her little white dress it brings tears to my eyes.
I hate it when they call that woman “mother”. She wasn’t a mother to that precious little one. Such evil is beyond comprehension.
NO she didn’t.
Her “father” should never have turned that child over to its “mother”.
I think there’s going to be a LOT more to come out about this story that is going to add to the sense of outrage probably including DSS visits to this “home” earlier this year - because this woman has a son and is also pregnant at this time.
But its the depravity in the hearts and souls of these people....just beyond words.
It’d be too bad if something should happen, like he should accidentally hang himself in his cell...that’d be downright tragic, if something like that accidentally happened, eh?

In NC, there is a death penalty - but it is “on hold” because of the fact that the NC legislature passed a law requiring a doctor to be present at the execution - and the doctors are refusing to do it because of their oaths.
So, voila, all the people who wanted to end the death penalty in NC (they ALWAYS have vigils outside Central Prison whenever there is/was going to be a death penalty administered). WRAL always broadcasts those vigils....
