I know about the 800,000 dead PKI cadres, and yeah, if Suharto hadn't scragged them, the PKI would have killed 10 times that many people -- like China, like Cambodia. If they'd killed proportionately as many people as Che Guevara executed in Cuba, it still would have been a huge bloodletting.
