That's 100 million made up of tax payers money. Who gave the RATS the right to make a bribe payoff for a vote. I'm pissed. That whole bunch is nothing than rotten criminal communists. Time for a real cleanup.

It’s truly amazing how these sycophantic libs continue to kiss Obama’s ass. I thought rats usually deserted sinking ships. Death wish?

The first question from Politico should have been: Have you personally read the entire bill?

That question needs to be asked of every senator who’c even considering a yes vote.

I’d love it if a law was passed requiring all legislators in both houses to swear (or affirm) that they’ve read and fully understand every piece of legislation that they vote for. Of course, if a legislator is voting against a bill, they won’t be required to read it all. A poison pill in the first few pages could preclude the need to read any further.

If this bill passes, the Senate will have 65 new Senators by 2014.

And the country will be a politically violent place for a generation.

Bring it on you lefty pukes!!!!!

You wanted peace with your electorate? Say good-bye to it.

The electorate is about to be transformed into something no one has witnessed in over a hundred years.

How dare they sick SEIU, and ACORN thugs on us, to beat on us and push us around!

The fires are lit.

Of course. Elections have consequences. We cannot rely on “moderate” Democrats to do the right thing. “Moderate” Democrat is a fraudulent term.

Thanks to the idiots that stayed home on election day. Now we are all going to suffer the wrath of the Liberals.

Who was the guy that was talking about reading the whole bill aloud in the chamber?

Is that still an option?

(please tell me it was a senator and not a house rep)

You are wrong, once this bill is on the floor it will be rammed through using a budgetary reconciliation procedure, which requires only a simple majority of 51.

All possibility of filibuster will be cut off.

Thats why this cloture vote is so important.

If this bill passes , violence will begin in America.

And we will have lost our freedoms. Too bad. It was a good country while it lasted.

Now it will be the battle axe and every man for himself.

On balance, I’d say the conservatives are better armed for the inevitable violence than the libs.

To quote the not-so-great Jon f’in’ Carey, “Bring it on!”

You are wrong,

How can I be wrong when I've made no prediction? I've only discussed the procedures that had several of us confused about tomorrow night's vote.

And the reconciliation tactic for a major bill is a departure from normal Senate procedures, and some question whether it violates Senate rules. It might turn out like Dingy Harry's "Clay Pigeon" tactic during the 2007 amnesty debate.

Just proves how caring she is about issues.

You can buy my vote for the right price, and the pimp comes up with a dollar amount and presto whatever little credibility she had is gone.

Money talks and credibility walks.

You are correct, Will88 is wrong in what he/she/it tr5ied to assert was a poured in concrete trail Reid would have to follow ... Reid is a lying democrat, so we know the democrats will use any trickery they can to pass this on sneaky procedural votes. You will find that Will88 often makes erroneous posts then tries to claim he/she/it is not in error. [For the record, here’s the essence of the error: “Then they have another cloture vote needing 60 votes to end the debate and amendments, to be followed by the simple majority vote on the bill as amended.” Harry and the criminal enterprise democrats can short circuit the process on a claim that voting to allow the bill to be debated was a vote to pass soemthing, anything, so only 51 votes will be needed to pass it.]

Looks like a straight party line vote. For now. Anyone voting to start debate is culpable whether or not they change their vote later.

Tomorrow’s vote is a Motion to Commit.

This effectively begins debate on Reid’s bill. We haven’t seen any amendments yet...
