My radio pal Hugh Hewitt said to me on the air the other day that Barack Obama "doesn't know how to be president." It was a low but effective crack, and I didn't pay it much heed. But, after musing on it over the past week or so, it seems to me frighteningly literally true. I don't just mean social lapses like his latest cringe-making bow, this time to Their Imperial Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan – though that in itself is deeply weird: After the world superbower's previous nose-to-toe prostration before the Saudi king, one assumed there'd be someone in the White House to point out tactfully that the citizen-executives of the American republic don't bow to foreign monarchs. Along with his choreographic gaucherie goes his peculiar belief that all of human history is just a bit of colorful back story in the Barack Obama biopic – or as he put it in his video address on the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall:

I agree that Obama doesn’t know how to be president.
It’s amazing to me that his very first managerial or executive experience is in his current job as President of the United States.
He doesn’t know how to be a manager. He doesn’t know how to be an executive. He’s never run a business, and never been in an executive position in government before. This is a great point - politics aside, he just doesn’t know how to be a manager.
And the liberals keep telling us that Sarah Palin doesn’t have any management experience. She’s been governor of a state, but to the liberals, being a street activist dude and being one out of many senators is more impressive.
The community he supposedly organized is rife with crime. Then his other job was........?

The KSM fiasco, as ludicrous as it appears on the surface, is more and more sinister as the layers are peeled back. It will become Obamao’s show trial into the Bush Administration, stretching into the events of 911 and all the conspiratorial lunacy surrounding those events. I think this is part of Obamao’s plan for heading into the 2012 elections. He wants to Nixonize Bush and Republicans while he destroys America.
The scum do not care if Palin, or any other conservative, is the greatest executive in history. Conversely, they don’t care whether the great zero has executive experience or not. The scum only care about being in power. Competence is irrelevant.
We are trying to get there. This administration and its hangers-on got all their training from the same text book.
