Everything is constantly being backed up (I have Norton 360; backup, virus check, updates, etc, are done automatically) to a 500G external hard drive.
Also a motherboard failure doesn’t affect your installed hard drives, you just install a new motherboard and hook up all hardware and you don’t miss a beat. ;)
I got the computer back, yesterday afternoon.
