Think how much money we could save!
In his June 13 New York Times op-ed, Tyler Cowen wrote, Medicare expenditures threaten to crush the federal budget. The title of the article was Somethings Got to Give in Medicare Spending. Got it. Old people cost too much money to keep aliveand you younger disabled people on Medicare, youre not helping either.
So, whats Mr. Cowens solution? Lets limit health care benefits to old and disabled people. Boggles the mind.
One of the proposals coming out of the Obama administration is to limit end-of-life care. What exactly does that mean?
In 1974, thenColorado Governor Dick Lamm, an outspoken advocate of physician-assisted suicide explained his support for the measure this way. He said, "We've got a duty to die and get out of the way with all of our machines and artificial hearts and everything else like that and let the other society, our kids, build a reasonable life."
Boggles the mind.

You first, Mr. Lamm..
Oh.
Sort of like a death panel, then, you mean.
Naaaaahhhhhhhhh. What am I saying? That's just plain crazy talk, is what that is.
Gotta be. Olbermann and Madcow both said so.
Like, a billion gazillion times, even.
Die for the greater good of the reich.
Eventually the baby boomers will all die... won't that solve all the issues with the social programs since the population wont be so heavily tilted towards the elderly after they are gone?
It is now:
Die for the welfare queens.
Soilent Green with a tortilla and top shelf Margaretta emmmmm emmmmm emmmmmmm
Physician-assisted suicide>I can’t prove it but I bet it’s some place in the healthcare bill in hack jive.
Our death sets them free.
That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking this morning. Too many old people. Too much burden on Social Security. Too many on Medicare. Too many taxes going their way, etc. Sounds like that 70’s movie where everyone has a limited life time and then they come after you. Can’t put granny (or you or me and congress aren’t spring chickens anymore) on an iceberg because they’re all melting so bring on ObamaCare’s death panels.
That’s a great sign!
Seniors are NOT shovel ready.
Pelosi and Reid, the Hitler’s of our time.
No that will not help. If all the boomers are dead the demoncrats will just see that as a cash cow to spend more money.
They will spend healthcare funds just like they have spent SS funds, all the while proclaiming that it will be in a lockbox.
Get ready for them to dip into your bank account. They will do this.
Will they recycle the old people too so “save the earth” and this imaginary scarce resource scare stuff?
They are building an ant farm.. If your not healthy enough to work and pay taxes, you die....
I don’t want people to die, but, I am thinking some of the same things.
I think the adult disabled and elderly should have their govt medical benefits reduced along with the healthy adults and healthy elderly.
And this will cause the death of some of them.
Here’s what that says: pay in all your life , while you’re young and healthy and not needing medical services,to a system to provide care for those who are ahead of you, then when you get there, the benefits are “too expensive. “ That is a winning political argument, and I really hope the Democrats embrace it, like the old twice afflicted Specter did on Chris Wallace this AM, talking about the Medicare rationing panel being like the military base closing commissions. Just make sure the members of those panels ( the death panels) names and addresses are publicly known.
