Global WarmingGate: What Does It Mean?
Pajamas Media ^ | November 22 | Charlie Martin

Posted on 11/22/2009 9:55:51 AM PST by AJKauf

Late on the night of of November 19, news broke on PJM and elsewhere that a large amount of data had been stolen from one of the major climate research institutions by an unknown hacker and made available on the Internet. The institution is the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit, home institution for Dr Phil Jones and one of the world’s centers of research into anthropogenic global warming (AGW), or “climate change.”

The hackers released about 172 megabytes of data, and we can be sure examining it closely will take some time. But after a few days, certain things are beginning to become clear.

* The data appears to be largely, perhaps entirely, authentic. * The emails are incendiary. * The implications shake the scientific basis for AGW, and the scientific reputations of some of AGW’s major proponents, to their roots

Let’s look at the files and emails first....

The hackers released about 172 megabytes of data.

Last I heard it was around 85MB. Now it's 172MB. Hope the number continues to climb.

If this mess withstands scrutiny, the perpetrators need to be dragged through the streets, Mogadishu-style.

This could be an inside job, releasing “proprietary” data that magically conforms to the BS that’s been already proffered by the very people whose livelihood and reputations depends on continued globull-warming-climate-change money.

I believe they are referencing the uncompressed size, the zip file was around 60Mb...

How do you zip 172MB down to 60MB? I think you would be a billionaire if you could figure that out. When I zip a 60MB file, it usually takes it down to 58 or 59MB.

I’ve got the original file. The compressed file is 63MB. Uncompressed is 175MB and 4558 files. A lot of those files are data files of various kinds, not emails or documents. Those come in roughly 90 MB, bringing the 175MB down to 85MB

That could be where the confusion is.

What have we learned?

The media isn’t even curious about big stories if they disagree with the politics behind the stories.

Most people will still believe liberals even when it’s revealed that liberals are lying.

FTA “The emails suggest the authors cooperated covertly to ensure that only papers favorable to CO2 forced AGW were published.”

Also remembering that the conferences of scientists who disagreed with the globull warming wacko theory, were ignored by the MSM. Even if a thousand of them signed a petition, gathered at a conference and proclaimed globull warming as bad science, the media put their fingers in their ears and went “we can’t hear you!”.

All the eco-weenie conferences that were pounded with blizzards, ice, or unseasonably cold weather...none of the greenies ever noticed and thought something was amiss with their religion-gold mine. Those who profit from the Big Lie knew it was junk science but had found a great way to make millions of dollars for themselves and their pals. All at the expense of taxpayers and our freedoms.

When they said “cooling is part of global warming” that was just priceless. And it was accepted by the GoreBots.

When they introduce mercury containing lightbulbs and proclaim them to be great for the environment, there’s another insane idea. I mean if you break one, you’re supposed to call HazMat! Come on!

As long as we remember liberals are deranged and illogical, they’re easy to figure out. As long as we remember these oh so sensitive idiots, support killing not yet born human life, they’re easy to figure out. They are not equipped to deal with reality.

Having them in charge of the country is like having monkeys in charge. How will we get to Jan.20th, 2013 without a major catastrophie? The elites in DC do not listen to the people. They forge ahead with their evil plans. Historic crowds of conservative protesters, melted phone lines, millions of emails and letters, do no sway them from their socialist utopian plans.

God help us survive until we get patriots who love America into office, instead of politicians who only have selfish interests.

Depends on the type of file being compressed. Some will compress a great deal, others not so much.

They are probably pretty busy this weekend cleaning
up their own emails!! Can you imagine a hacker getting
into media computers?? Wouldn’t that be a dream come
true.

Easy. FORCE Obamabot to release his TRUE, original, long form birth certificate and his Passport records. Perhaps we can rid ourselves of him earlier than 2013. ** Praying... **
