I don't know why this is such a surprise. Salafist double-domers have been writing about "Gen 3/Gen 4 War" for a dozen years now. The antidote would seem to be mass exclusion and/or mass expulsion of Islamists, esp. Wahhabists, from the territory of the United States. They will keep doing this until actively suppressed, and people in authority won't face up to it.
