Deputies recount experience of guarding U.S.-Mexico border

A week of work was far from average for seven Florence County sheriff’s deputies who spent several days this month guarding the U.S.-Mexico border just a few paces from the most world’s most dangerous city, Juarez, Mexico.
During the first week of November, the men were far removed from their mostly rural patrolling ground and in a place where map borders aren’t based on county lines, but on the territories of drug cartels.[snip]

President Calderón talks about immigration
- full article transl. – President Calderón ratified his conviction about providing a legal, orderly and humane direction to the migratory flow which takes place from Mexico to the United States, because it is “unacceptable” that 400 Mexicans should die each year while attempting to cross the border. The head of the federal Executive pointed out that, in chats with American members of congress, or with President Barack Obama himself, he has always stated that the objective is not to be a government that may improve or perfect the export of a workforce.
He stated, “Our objective is that someday the people may not have to go due to necessity, but, on the contrary, that they may be able to obtain in Mexico the working conditions and the opportunities that, simply, it has not been possible to generate here.” In Ticuitaco, the head of state led the placing of a cornerstone of the civic plaza “Doctor Jose Hernandez Moreno”, the astronaut of Mexican origin who was a member of a space mission on the shuttle Discovery in September. In this community, where tens of men have left their families to emigrate and seek employment in the United States, Calderón-Hinojosa cited the astronaut as an example, due to the perseverance and effort he made to reach greater heights.
He said that it is the most daring people who go away, the bravest, most courageous and hardest working, and that is to the detriment of not only their family, but the economy also loses the best of its people, and politics, since leaders go away, responsible persons who would be able to lead their communities and take them to a better destiny. Felipe Calderón pointed out that migration is a reality that must be changed, but not by means of decrees or fences, but by means of the generation of work options here in Mexico.
He pointed out that Hernandez Moreno is one of the most distinguished scientists of Mexico and the United States, because of his perseverance and desire to study, and he added that one must dream very high “and not only that. But to have the will, the courage and the wherewithal to be able to fight and with everything.” (sic) He emphasized, “So, fellow countrymen, let us dream big and let us have the courage and the wherewithal to go, pursue and reach the dream of a better Michoacán and a better Mexico.” —————————–
La Prensa Grafica (San Salvador, El Salvador) 11/18/09 Poverty in Latin America
A report by the executive secretary of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (CEPAL) shows that 14 million additional persons in Latin America will join the ranks of poverty and indigence. Prior to the start of the economic crisis which began in the last quarter of last year there were 251 million poor and indigents in the region. The number of poor will encompass 34.1 percent of the region’s total population.
But, also today, “El Universal” (Mexico City) added to this by reporting that Mexico and Venezuela will account for the majority of those going into poverty. It also stated that the poor in the region total 189 million. Following on this theme, “El Financiero” (Mexico City) today headlined that Mexico will have 37 million poor by year’s end.

El Diario, Norte,(both Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua) 11/18/09 More bloodshed in Juarez
Two agents of the Police Intelligence Center (CIPOL) were gunned down this morning while at a gas station in Juarez. Two other agents and two gas station attendants were also shot but survived. Four hours earlier, also in Juarez, two “Ministerial” state police agents were ambushed and killed in a car-to-car gunfire assault elsewhere in town. Five other persons were assassinated in Ciudad Juarez yesterday, and a male and female couple was wounded by firearms. According to press data, November now tallies 140 homicide victims in Juarez, while the year’s total is 2,252.

El Imparcial (Hermosillo, Sonora) 11/18/09 Heroin northbound in Sonora
Mex. federal police found a total of 4.5 kilos (9.9 lbs.) of heroin aboard northbound passenger buses that had come from Culiacan, Sinaloa, and were bound for Ciudad Obregon and for Hermosillo, Sonora. One passenger was arrested in each of the buses.

El Porvenir (Monterrey, Nuevo Leon) 11/18/09
Police chiefs arrested
Formal orders were issued yesterday for the arrest of the former chiefs of police of the cities of Monterrey, of its satellite city of Guadalupe, and of the nearby city of Montemorelos, state of Nuevo Leon. (Monterrey is the center of a large metropolitan area.) All three ex-chiefs were found to have been collaborating with the narco-criminal group, the “Zetas.” Ten other police officers were also named in the arrest order.

El Universal (Mexico City) 11/18/09 More marihuana
Mex. military personnel seized 2,229 kilos (4,893.8 lbs.) of weed at a highway checkpoint between Mexicali and Tijuana, Baja Calif. The drug was in 438 packages and hidden in a truck hauling a load of cereal.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is warning parents across the state to be aware of efforts by
Mexican cartels and transnational gangs to recruit Texas youth in our schools and communities.
These violent organizations are luring teens with the prospect of cars, money and notoriety,
promising them if they get caught, they will receive a minimal sentence.
The Mexican cartels constantly seek new ways to smuggle drugs and humans into Texas are now
using state based gangs and our youth to support their operations on both sides of the border.
For example, Laredo natives Gabriel Cardona and Rosalio Reta were recruited in their teens to be
hit men for the Zetas. The Zetas, composed primarily of former Mexican military commandos,
originally served as the enforcement arm of the Gulf Cartel, but have since become their own cartel.
El Paso teens have been recruited to smuggle drugs across the border, many with the packs taped to
their bodies.
While such recruitment is growing across Texas, juveniles along the Texas-Mexico border are
particularly susceptible. In 2008, young people from the counties along the Texas-Mexico border
accounted for just 9 percent of the population in Texas, but 18 percent of the felony drug charges
and gang-related arrests.
“As these dangerous organizations seek to co-opt our children to support their criminal operations,
it is more important than ever that parents be aware of these risks, talk to their children and pay
attention to any signs that they may have become involved in illegal activities,” said Steven C.
McCraw, director of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
To protect our communities and our children from these powerful and ruthless criminal
organizations, local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and the District Attorneys in Texas
border counties are working together to detect, disrupt and deter Mexican cartel-related crime along
the Texas-Mexico border.

AMNESTY....What does 20 million people actually look like?
Do you realize if this AMNESTY happens we are in effect creating the equivilant population of over 17 of our states to this country? And that’s not even considering the chain migration that is in every amnesty bill or the millions of illegal alien anchor babies intent on carrying out the terror of their Mexican drug cartels. (Remember, anchor babies are US citizens..voters....who aren't counted in the illegal alien numbers!)
Please look at what giving amnesty to as many as 20,000,000 illegal alien foreign nationals actually represents. More than the population of 16 states and DC!
According to the 2000 census, 18,785,867 is the total populations combined of Wyoming, Dist. of Columbia, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Idaho, Nebraska, West Virginia, New Mexico and Nevada.

A study last week shows 1 in 10 births is to an illegal alien in this country now.

90 Day Invasion Solution Without Confusion
The debate over the illegal alien invasion has already happened. The American people have stated loud and clear that they want all illegal aliens deported and not rewarded. Those who do not want illegal aliens deported, including some elected politicians, racist separatist hate groups (MALDEF, LULAC, MECHA, the National Council of the Race, etc), the media and elitists like Bill O’Reilly continually tell us that we can’t “ROUND UP” twenty million people.
The term “round up” is inflammatory and is used to make us seem barbaric or less than human and discourage us from doing what must be done to save America. The truth of the matter is, we don’t have to “round up” anybody. What we have to do is make existence in this country extremely hostile to those here illegally and guess what? They will leave! Make it where they can’t buy or sell, can’t rent, can’t drive, can’t work, can’t medicate, educate or incarcerate! Do these things and THEY WILL LEAVE!!!
Having said that, I offer, to MY country, a humble plan to rid us of this huge burden. This plan is based on common sense, THE LAW and a will to do it. It goes like this:
Congress shall declare a 90 day amnesty for ALL illegal aliens. During that period NO status adjustments will be made. Zero! For 90 days illegal aliens will have the opportunity to dispose of any accumulated assets, both real and personal. Bought a house? Sell it! Bought a car? Sell it! Got a dog, give it away! They will have three months to settle their affairs and sever all ties to this country.
At the end of the amnesty period, on day 91, ANY illegal alien still here will be considered a federal, felony fugitive and will be arrested and jailed. One year the first time. FIVE years the second time and TEN years the third time. We will build a tent prison in the California/Arizona desert and expand it as needed. Once jailed, all assets will be seized and sold at auction. All proceeds will be used to incarcerate said illegal aliens. These stipulations will apply to anyone who entered the country illegally OR any visa overstay of one day or more.
ANY ILLEGAL ALIEN CAUGHT IN THE UNITED STATES AFTER THE AMNESTY PERIOD HAS EXPIRED WILL BE BANNED FROM THE COUNTRY FOR LIFE!
On day 91, ANY employer who hires an illegal alien fugitive will be jailed. One year for the first offense, FIVE years for the second and TEN years for the third. These laws and penalties will also apply to any bank lending money to illegal aliens and anyone giving them aid and shelter, including churches.
American born children of illegal aliens will be placed in jeopardy by the actions of their parents. Since the American people had no hand in those actions, the responsibility for the care of those children will be that of their parents. If they self-deport, they have the option to take the kids with them or leave them here with an adult of their choice. If the parent is incarcerated as an illegal alien fugitive, they have the option of placing the children with an adult of their choice or making them wards of the federal government and placed in an institution until their release.
These measures are hard but they are fair and are needed to assure the survival of this once great country. They apply to anyone in the country illegally regardless of race, creed, color, height, weight, age, sex or national origin.

Sounds harsh, Terry. But it’s not. Let me tell you what ‘harsh’ is...and it was considered, by the majority of our legislators to be enforcible USA law. Though the Supreme court disagreed, for all the good it did when corruption is running the government.
My ancestors were given less than a month’s notice to vacate their homes, remove their belongings and ‘sever all ties to this country’ before the Georgia Militia or the US Army removed them by force from their uncountable generations occupied homes in 1839. And I mean ‘homes’, beautiful, European styled HOMES and groomed, productive plantations. But they didn’t get to ‘sell’ them. Instead they were’removed’ by foot and wagon, in the dead of winter, with what they could carry. First they were locked in the livestock stockades of Forts for weeks sometimes, in the rain, with no shelter. They traveled for over a thousand miles. About 4 thousand...A quarter of them died.
And now, these modern day ‘Ameri-Indian’, Muslim, whatever invaders want us to believe we are being ‘harsh’??? Sorry.

William Handen, or whoever he may put forward to take possession of the same and that you may have ample time to prepare for the same, I will allow you until the 28th day of this month to do the same.”

We proved that this works in Arizona with e-Verify. Employers who hire illegals are subject to thousands in fines for first offense. Second or third, they lose their business lic. Illegals are leaving by the 10’s of thousands!!

Great. I found Terry by accident also. I had just moved to the ‘mountains’, didn’t have cable TV yet or the internet hooked up. I could get 3 stations in clearly...2 were in SPANISH and the other one this guy saying, “Wake up Stupid Americans!”.
