Anyone noticing the increase in severely mentally ill people not being able to maintain a functioning balance?
I wanted to start a vanity thread to ask Freepers if they noticed this in there local communities.
I suspect from if true maybe meds are not being taken and mental health care support not making contact with patients living in society.
In our county crime in the public is almost non existant.
In the last two weeks we have had 2 armed robberies (geezer bandits)
We also (thank God we were late to the scene before it happened) were at our local Grocery Store and a guy who was new in town lost it and was taken down with Guns drawn (we have an excellant community freindly PD and Sheriff Dept) by both agencies.
This guy was acting very strange outside the store (cant intervene unless he breaks the law)
when we went last week.
Dressed in a long leather coat and cowboy hat pulled down over his face and pacing and peeking out.
I was really on alert taking KV in the store as this guy was LOL trying to act incogneto but his behaviour had everyone checkng him out.
So he came back last night and tried to arrest the store manager who is an aquaintance of everyone, good conservative real man.
KV has been laughing all day about it in hindsight.
Here this mental guy changes his disguise (or he thought in his world) from Long leather Cowboy trench coat man to get this the Invisible Man as in Gauze/padded wrapped head/face.
Seems in his mental state believed he was an undercover agent and he was watching the store/employees our friend/manager in particular so when he showed up as mummy head man he announced he was there to arrest the store manager...that is when they were able to go ok now we can get this guy taken away.
Mind you they had been filming his behaviour all week and local LEO were in on the whole event from day one.
And regarding the suicide yeah around Oregon we have had that and people just loosing it and going whack in public.
In the valley yesterday a guy went crazy shooting up the town of Hillsboro and killed a citizen before police had no choice but to take the guy out by bullet.
My point I guess is with society in economic dire straits the first to lash out are those least mentally stable.
As one radio commentator put it if your going to kill yourself please leave the wife and kids out of the pact.
When you kill innocent family members it hurts us all and you not only take them but a lil piece of our souls too. (good point)
The spiritual side of my mind likens the lashing out of the severely mentally ill as an unleashing of tortured souls that are easily infuenced by the dark side/demons.
In other local PNW news Seattle has a sewer rat problem and up to 65 homes have reported Rats coming up in the toilet. I am so serious.
OUr area has a Mole infestation, moles and other vermin have alway lived among us in our rain forrest coastal rural life but this year they have are over populating.
(the dogs have insisted on going after them as they pop up, making a mole hill a dog dig)
So Freepers what is your opine on the idea that the weakest in mental health/stability of leashing out in upped numbers?
If true it is just one more strain on our poorly run govt for the people and economic times
I wonder if this is true that the problem will become more of a threat to public safety then any terrorist.
The Devil doesnt care what avenue he finds weak to disrupt the rest of society.
Father spoke on this last night using a Bible passage were Saul (IIRC the name) went to a psychic/fortune teller and HE KNEW BETTER than to seek out such venue.
And that we all need to hold strong to our faith and DO NOT be tempted into trying to communicate with the spirits as you are surely inviting Satan into your life.

Yes and as a society that has been breaking down morally for decades it is like the Icing on a crap cake.
This is why it is SO important for people to hold on to their Faith in God and dont worry about or react out to the turmoil around us but to band together and use our human resources and God given talents to pull through this and support those around us who are doing there best (struggling not fault of there own) to survive.
Sarcasm at FR is also good to keep humor up.
As I posted on this thread the non existant events that are now happening in our little community while disturbing my son has made humor out of them.
The innocent people that happen to be in the public when the (no one was hurt) disruptors lash out we know as good strong Christian Conservative civil community members (not related to actions of the nuts gone wild in any sense).
I feel optimistic that 2012 will being a turning point in our topsy turvy Country and we will by the Grace of God reinstate our govt with leaders who will help us accomplish the goals of bringing things back into balance.
Before we call this a bad thing, I need to see the party affiliation of the participants and find out if we can keep the names from ACORN. They have no problem with post respiratory voter registration.

I have suspected that this is the case. Just my observation, but I cannot recall being aware of so many suicides. From my perspective, I have noticed that a great many of them are middle-aged men.
No do-overs in suicide.
Wouldn't surprise me. They are used to being the breadwinner and many are finding themselves, after many years of trying to reach a point of financial security, either drowning in debt or watching their 401k's value sink to half its value.
It's already been reported that males are losing their jobs at a higher rate than women are - probably because they made more and, thus, easier to lay off.
Toss in the fact that middle-agers were also the live-for-today boomers who are having to deal with the cumulative abuse they've given their bodies over time.
I feel for the ones who are losing their homes and their jobs. You have to believe there's something out there. Our grandparents toughed it out during the Great Depression so there's a way through this if you don't lose hope.

But don't worry. The government plans to take away our guns, our knives, reinforce barriers on bridges, etc.
That's because they want you to have your doctor help you commit suicide. That's what liberals call "compassion".
Of course it took a World War to get out of the Great Depression, but that's another story.
We just had a woman in Tacoma attempt to jump off the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. She almost did, but drivers on the bridge stopped and grabbed her, then held her until the police showed up. She’d lost her house in foreclosure and had two kids...and no idea what to do now.
We have quite a few tall bridges around here. I have a sad feeling we’ll be seeing them used more in this way in the weeks and months to come.
