Get Out of Our House (GOOOH) : A disinfectant on Congress?
Enter Stage Right ^ | November 23rd | Tom DeWeese

Posted on 11/23/2009 6:26:09 AM PST by Halfmanhalfamazing

There is a lot of talk across the nation about how to replace sitting members of Congress and restore the Republic as established by the Founders. The conversations usually end in frustration as 95% of incumbents continue to be re-elected, seemingly untouchable inside a system designed to keep them in office.

Most polls indicate that well over 80% of Americans disapprove of the job Congress is doing, yet 95% of incumbents get re-elected every election. Why? Because the process for selecting our representatives is broken. A recent Rasmussen poll said that only 25% of voters insist the election process for Congress should remain the same. Yet, to bring about significant change – indeed to replace a majority of Congress would take a ton of money and organization.

I recently came across a bold yet simple plan to replace all 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives- and do it as early as 2010. It's called GOOOH (pronounced like "go"), or Get Out Of Our House, and is a non-partisan national movement that is rapidly gaining momentum. It could very well be the solution to address the disarray in Washington.

Heres a better scare tactic. About 20 million patriots surround the capitol building with guns, pitchforks and plenty of hanging rope.

Start by joining at http://www.goooh.com. I’ve been talking about this on FR for months. My brother saw this guy speak in Texas and was impressed. GOOOH, along with what is being done in Texas at http://www.commonsensecitizens.net can turn the tide against RINOs and Dims alike.

And I love and agree with everything on your home page. I’m in DFW. Hope you’re hooked up with a good local TP or 912 group.

I read this book, it is a VERY exciting idea. I think this really could be change that could bring hope for the future of Federal Government.

If there are Goooh candidates on the ballot I will vote for them.

I read this book, it is a VERY exciting idea. I think this really could be change that could bring hope for the future of Federal Government.

I only found out about GOOOH this morning. I shifted all of my appointments for the day, so that I could take the two hours to read everything and sign up.

I also think that this idea is very timely, and is a brilliant solution to breaking the back of the entrenched career politicians in Washington.

Another thing I like about it, is that it isn't so much a partisan approach, but a very American approach. Having citizens go to Washington for two years and be the voice of their neighbors is what the Framers intended for the House of Representatives.

Anyone wishing to run as a GOOOH candidate has to swear to abide by a list of basic American principles. This sets their agenda far apart from that of the two dominant political parties.

Candidates elected on the GOOOH platform will be voting for The People's best interest - not that of the government, special interest groups, big campaign donors, or for their own career interests. This is exactly what we've needed from our reps for a hundred years now.

No, thank you!

I'm confused. You just advised everyone reading here to "start by joining...." Well, that's what I did.

You posted a very enthusiastic endorsement of the GOOOH plan, so your reply is a bit baffling.

The part where you said, "No thanks!"

That was a head scratcher.
