FDR: Decision on Invading Europe to Be Reviewed Further, Answer Won't Be This Week

AP, August 30, 1944

The Roosevelt Administration announced that it had asked that planners for an eventual European invasion force need to come back with options that include an exit strategy, after seven rounds of late-night reviews around FDR's trips to Warm Springs and a state dinner for the president of Costa Rica.

"If things get really tough in Western France, we want to make sure we can get right back out again and re-attempt an invasion again in a couple of years" an unnamed Administration source revealed. "Or maybe we'll just let Hitler have Western Europe - the war is just too expensive and prevents the expansion of the New Deal agenda."

Meanwhile, in other news, the Army announced that General George Patton had erupted in spontaneous human combustion when informed of the additional reviews...

How about having a days without a decision count? Just like Cronkite did with the iran hostage situation.

Even the sight of him makes me want to upchuck.

This boy king is destroying us - but not by accident. And he probably goes to bed happy at night knowing that his failure to support the generals means that more Americans will die. What could be sweeter to a Muslim Marxist?

When it comes to anything that could be helpful to our country, Obama votes present and dithers away the day.

On decisions that damage America, Obama works at the speed of light..... to maximize the damage.

Obama, Americas First Failed Black Pres-dent, made his decision a long time ago, he’s simply playing it out to his best advantage.... or so he thinks.

USA Today, is excellent to use in your birdcage. The colors are a favorite for the birds, and since they can’t read they don’t get sick to their stomach with the stories.

USA Today... America’s Weekly Reader. The only time I read the rag is when it is put in front of my hotel door. Even for free it is overpriced.

It is 6;25PM Eastern Time, and the Afghan meeting doesn’t start until 8:00PM and they have a no decision already!
