Canada is a very serious mining nation. Their miners get away with anti-ecology stuff that would never fly here. Canada is a major au producer that did not ban au during the Great Depression and will not in the future. Also why would Mexico ban/confiscate gold?
So any gold confiscation and Americans will slip over the border to do their au business. All those immigrants from third world nations we have? They will not obey any gold confiscation order
Confiscation is a threat but I think unlikely for practical reasons...not that the Obama-trons wouldn’t love to try it at some point
