Yeah. Used to. On Saturday or Sunday. Can’t remember which but I’d listen to his show while driving to pick my daughter up or drop her off when she lived 3 hours away. -— Don’t have to do that anymore so I don’t listen to the show. Busy doing other things now.

Thank God indeed. It is nice to know that Savage supported Condoleezza Rice, but he rejects Sarah Palin. Palin just stands for everything Savage professes to believe in. I quit listening to him over his hypocrisy directed toward Palin. The only reason I lurk this thread was that I was hoping he would finally realize his mistake. The thing about Savage is that he likes to take positions which are opposed to Rush and the other talk shows. Everything is a marketing thing with Savage, and he wants to distinguish his product at the expense of principle.

Yes the Savage thread ain't what it used to be, a lot of infidels have deserted the thread altogether for whatever reasons like Meanie, the good Capt' Colorde, Ms Quincy, camerakid, Tomas, Stonewall Brigade, etc, others pop in only every now and then like Tamar, Numbers, TBP, Key Largo,TomGuy, Tark, period end of story, DR. Zaeus, Jim0216, EEK, Eastbound,etc. and trolls are for the most part no longer allowed on the thread.

But imo the Savage show ain't what it used to be either, I no longer feel I missed anything if I don't catch Savage everyday. Savage rarely does 3 hours live anymore, some days he just seems to dial it in altogether like today.

Says he will retire once the UK ban is lifted, he's been already booted off the air in SF and LA. He's still the best on radio when his heart is into doing the show but I prefer to of late catch Savage on podcast so that I won't feel cheated if the show is lame like today, lol!

Yea well that's why I admire Savage more than the other leading talk show hosts, they will never say or do anything to offend their audience, otoh Savage eventho he is well aware that his stance on Palin is not popular with his own audience, he refuses to back down from his convictions about her just to appease them even if it means losing them altogether, how refreshing. Btw I don't recall Savage being a fan of Ms. Rice.

Read The Political Zoo. Savage really built Condoleezza Rice up in that book. Later on he came to hater her over the Israel issue, which I happen to agree with him on. The point is that Savage blindly admired Condoleezza until the Israel issue. Savage never thoughtfully considered Sarah Palin’s credentials. Sarah has a long history of public service and she was hugely popular in Alaska before the VP run. Had she declined to run for VP, she would still be a hugely popular Governor today.
