Obama is clueless. This has been a holding action while we played out the main event in Iraq. The Taliban/Al Queda have been able to fill in the vacumn because of the internal politics of Afghanistan... the Pashtun have pretty much ruled the place for the last 4 generations and have been rallying the Afghanie “hillbillies” to resist the foreigners for compensation. The McKrystal strategy will now turn this around if supported. If Obama tries something else he doesn’t understand the situation.
