Greens to be Held to Account?
Canada Free Press ^ | November 25, 2009 | Barry Napier

I’m glad to say that the hacking into the Climate Research Unit at East Anglia University is now hitting hard, and an inquiry is being demanded on both sides of the Atlantic, even though an ordinary Google search for ‘environmentalism’ doesn’t throw up anything on the matter. But, the media are responding!

The Guardian (London), 24th Nov., said

“It’s no use pretending this isn’t a major blow. The emails… could scarcely be more damaging. I am now convinced they are genuine… Yes, the messages were obtained illegally… But there are some messages that require no spin to make them look bad… I believe the head of the unit, Phil Jones, should now resign.”

Yes, the emails are genuine. Jones admitted to that, as I proved in my last article on the hacking. And yes, this should be a major blow to the greenie cause. That is why we must keep up the pressure. Not only should Jones be sacked, but he should be forced to account for every penny of his ill-gained funding, which was obtained by fraudulent claims. Already, some are looking at the possibility of charges being brought for fraud. Let us hope it happens. Then, we can all trace the deception backwards, all the way to Al Gore.

A scientist who was frequently mistreated by Jones in his discussions with others, is Hans Von Storch. He said, in 22nd Nov.,

Aren’t these Libtards 100% funded by the government, therefore by us???

Then why isn’t everything discoverable under FOIA ???

And didn’t they “accidentally” delete it all last time someone asked?

No HD data Backup????????

Wonder if there is a citizens group that could sue for return of government funds. I seriously doubt our government will do anything. The funds they received were fraudulently obtained. If you get a government loan or loan from a bank, you can be in serious trouble if you lie on the ap. Shouldn’t these yahoos be held to the same standard? I think a few years, oh lets say 20 or so in jail, and the lose of everything they own sounds about like the right punishment. And lets not forget the trickle down effect, where does this leave Al Gore and his ilk? You think he was so stupid that he was duped into believing all of this?

He says the Media are responding, but you don’t see anything in the U.S. MSM other than a brief mention and pooh-poohing it as nothing big.

No HD data Backup

Of course there is. If the main email server system uses Exchange (And even if it doesn't) all messages are backed up several times every hour using rolling snapshot technology. Point in time backups are then replicated to remote storage arrays for data protection and disaster recovery purposes. Of course there are copies.

I think all of the scientists involved in this should be fired, lose their pensions, and forfeit all other assets they posess. There is no excuse for this kind of behaviour and no possible justification for it. Some of these fools might have sincerely believed that the world could only be saved by radical left wing policies. Fine, they’re morons, but they are entitled to their ignorant beliefs, much in the same way that so many on their side worship rocks and puddles.

But then there was another side that saw power and profit in this new method to exploit the masses. This is Al Gore and various others whose motivations were apparent to all of us that they derisively called ‘skeptics.’ Academics and politicians proved themselves to be so stupid that they gleefully threw in with obvious falsehoods and questionable standards. These are the kinds of people who should never be allowed to hold any office of public trust for any reason, ever.

How will we ever know if lying climate scientist A, or Democrat politician B, is telling the truth about what happened to a helpless Yorkie on the man’s newfound dog catcher route? We will never know. They have proven that they will lie regardless of consequences as long as it puts something in their pockets. Besides that, honest dog catchers shouldn’t have to compete with these scum.

The University of East Anglia is British, and not subject to US laws, including FOIA. If the e-mails include US addressees, and if the US government chose to prosecute under RICO (fat chance), then US e-mail records of those funded by US taxes could be subject to FOIA.

No, but the British also have a freedom of information act, abbreviated as FOI.

I do believe the British laws do cover FOIA, but under another name. This could clearly go somewhere. Once their truthfulness is questioned, they become a stationary target versus moving target. I think the huckster know it and will try like hell to achieve their aims at Copenhagen (much like Obamacare). They now will have to respond to questions that the layman can understand: did you knowingly corrupt data to fit your ends. Once this is the repetitive question from the press they are dead.

Nothing will be done by the current congress or Obama - too many guilty parties or friends of the guilty therein. However, this is exactly the kind of situation for what RICO was invented. We can't do that at the federal level until after 2012. There might some exposure for charges at the state level - some states are heavily invested in green incentives and are hurting for revenue - but generally the same problem applies in those states as in Washington.

The GOP could and should pledge a thorough public investigation if they take back Congress (ideally chaired by Inhofe although I'm not optimistic about getting him into the majority with just 2010 elections.) They also should promise to disclose whomever, if any, blocks their investigation and on what issues so the public is aware of such going into 2012. If global warming is real it is important and deserves to have its credibility restored (or created, for many like me.) If it is proven to be a fraud then we're talking a lot of money, even by current standards, in current and future subsidies, mandates, tax credits and bureaucracies. The GOP should promise to freeze or suspend, as much of that as is politically possible until after the investigation is complete. If the greenies stonewall they get no pork. If they co-operate AND prove their case then revert to the status quo. If their case is found to be fraudulent then zero as much funding, remove as many mandates, close as many bureaucracies, cancel as many tax breaks whose existence was based on that fraud as possible. The left will scream, but don't let them stand on fraud. The GOP should favor lowering taxes generally, but giving tax breaks just on the basis of fraud is not proper policy. Academia will whine about losing programs and unfinished PhD students. Philosophically it is not in the public interest to award PhDs on fraudulent subjects and if those students or their professors were either too stupid or too corrupt to recognize such fraud then academia is better off without them. Compile a list of whatever fraud based programs the left was able to protect for the 2012 electorate. Some money already spent may be recoverable as criminally fraudulent and should be referred for prosecution, with RICO triple damages where appropriate (?Gore, Soros, etc.) The standard of evidence will be higher there, sadly we'll be left with a fair chunk of national debt from all the (criminally) innocent dupes. Action, or lack thereof, on those criminal referrals should be a suitable 2012 topic.

There is one group of Greens that can and should be held to account sooner, even if the status of global warming can only shown to be uncertain, rather than fully fraudulent. Everyone who ever signed something swearing there was no doubt that global warming was real and a major public danger deserved to be publicly humiliated for that. Their judgement is proven to be worthless and should be derided if ever expressed on any major issue in the future. Those who merely expressed concern over the possibility of global warming, but not certainty regarding it, may be reformable with suitable reeducation and mea culpas.
