she needs to get out of the race and step aside.
Who is after he job as senator, do we have a conservative for that seat in place or are we in disarray as usual in the GOP?

Leave Perry and she can resign while we get a decent conservative in place would be my dream

There is no nasty republican race. Kay Bailey will never win...she voted for the stimulus package and she undercut the border fencing...she is a rino and will garner very little of the vote.

Bill White is a walking turd as well.

Who is after he job as senator,

That remains to be seen at this stage as it’s still very much up in the air as to when and if KBH will actually retire. She has been all over the field will that part.

Orginally it looked like maybe LtGov Dewhurst maybe interested if she retired in the late fall as she said but has changed her mind on that now. Mayor White [D] of Houston was looking at running along with some others. But it now looks like White will switch and run for the Gov. in the D primary. It’s very much in a fluid state both for gov and senator as I see it.

If KBH would have resigned as she orginally stated then Perry could have appt a temp to fill the spot until a special election could have been held on May 8, 2010 to fill the remainder of her term. The players jocking for races under that senario now have to rethink their positions as filing for the Mar. 2, state primaries begin on Dec. 3, I believe.

It’s a mess at this stage.

97 Days and the Texas Primary will sort some of it out.

Do pay attention.

We have at least two excellent candidates, either one of whom could do a far better job of representing Texas in the U.S. Senate than Miz Kay Barely REpublican.

Michael Williams, for starters, is my favorite, but I'd be perfectly happy to be represented by Roger Williams (no relation... lol) too.
