While American families have gathered for the Thanksgiving holiday, President Obama schemes to release more hardened terrorists on an unsuspecting world.
Arutz Sheva is reporting that President Obama is demanding that in connection with the terrorists for Gilad trade, which is being made with Hamas, Israel release an additional 1,000 terrorists as a 'gesture' to 'moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen.
In response to U.S. demands that Israel free an additional 1,000-some terrorists as a "gesture" to Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas, Lieberman said that previous releases of Fatah terrorists "have not proven themselves. The Olmert administration did this several times and it did not work, and we do not plan to allow it to happen," Lieberman said.

This is not appeasement. Appeasement is something you do with an enemy to try to convince them not to hurt you.
This is aiding and abetting an ally, plain and simple. (And no, as should be clear, Israel is not obama’s ally.)
I was thinking of it as “If I’m nice to them they’ll be nice to me.” 0 wants to show what a nice guy he can be to jihadists. 0 might not have a lot of faith in his Secret Service detail.
Heck, 0 wants terrorists to be tried in civil court to give them a good chance of acquittal. He wants our military personal court-martialed for using excessive force. He wants to show them how nice he is so they won’t try to take him out.

American TV situation comedy, late Seventies and early Eighties, set at a rock and roll radio station. In probably its most famous single episode, station management had turkeys dropped from a helicopter over a shopping center to promote the station for American Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, domestic turkeys don’t fly.
Recall that Obama had -- handed him, like so much else, on a platter by Bush -- Israeli / Palestinian Authority negotiations all ready to roll, indeed already underway, ready to be, possibly, further advanced under U.S. sponsorship. Granted they were unlikely, for a number of reasons, to be terribly successful, but that's hardly unusual or unprecedented!
So, anyway, Obama blunders in and immediately BLOWS UP the negotiations. Barry says Israel ought to halt all construction of any kind in it's settlements. The Palestinians, who had been talking, suddenly say, "Hey, good idea, let's demand that as a precondition to talks." Israel, naturally, says you can't have a matter which is a primary subject of negotiations suddenly become a precondition to negotiations, and the whole thing grinds to a halt. Nobody's talking to anybody, all because of Barry.
So, not only did Obama make this rather stupid, rookie mistake, it now appears he's incapable of learning from it! Here he is, just a few months later, doing the same thing again! Allegedly the negotiations for the release of Galid Shalit were on the verge of bearing fruit. But why shouldn't Hamas now say, much as Fatah did before, "good idea, Barry! Let's demand those additional 1,000 terrorist releases as a further condition to what Israel has already offered for Galid!"
What a turkey.
