IMO this article by Noonan symbolizes the sea change that occurred in the last week or so...and that is that the "friends of Obama" have come to realize something profound.

If his friends were questioning Obama's commitment to a certain agenda OR to his openness to change OR his tendency toward a certain kind of error of judgment OR his tin ear toward public opinion OR even the fact that he might harbor some racist tendencies...that would be damaging enough.
But when his friends and supporters "conclude" that Obama isn't a person of INTEGRITY they are on the verge of turning into "scorned lovers"...and that will not just ignite a firestorm of anger toward Obama but will also deprive him of the shelter behind which he has hidden his past.
IMO, the sh!t is about to hit the fan!!!
Well, I think this overstates it a bit. IMO, all that happened is that by tossing Greig Craig under the bus, Zero raised the ire of the Clintonistas in the chattering class.
And being chattering class nincompoops, they'll be silenced by being awed by some shallow spectacle, or (most likely) by a bribe coming their way.
