It's on the inventory, ad valorem tax, personal property tax, based on your inventory at years end. I don't recall most places having a cap. Too Bad!!

I think all personal property tax should be illegal, it's taxing earned and taxed income.

The concept of "private property" is no more. Fergetaboutit! The government, federal, state and local owns your property. You rent it from them. Stop paying the rent and you get evicted or your property is repossessed. When they can tax the property you bought with your tax paid income, you don't own it, you rent it. Simple as that.
