Reversing his previously stated belief that none of the Republican candidates for the GOP presidential nomination have all three legs of the conservative stool, Rush Limbaugh told his listeners Monday that Mitt Romney is indeed a three-leg conservative.
Describing the three legs as "national security/foreign policy, the social conservatives, and the fiscal conservatives," Rush said, "The social conservatives are the cultural people. The fiscal conservatives are the economic crowd: low taxes, smaller government, get out of the way... The foreign policy crowd is obviously what it is. I don't think there's anybody on our side who doesn't care about national security."

His conclusion? "I think the one candidate of the three still out there on our side that matter (and, actually, it's just two, because Huckabee doesn't, in terms of a chance to win) is saying who more closely embodies all three legs of this conservative stool, you'd have to say that it's Mitt Romney. There's actually no choice in the matter. It certainly isn't Senator McCain."

It appears to me, that since REAGAN, the nominees of GOP have been steadily moving LEFT (kinder gentler, compassionate) IF they hold true to form... I’m almost expecting the GOP to nominate ... Olympia Snow..

A) If you look above at the heading of this thread, you will see that this is actually posted in news/activism, not “Breaking News.”
B) FR is currently posting on ALL of its threads an anti-Romney screed. As someone who knows the man and his previous policies, I have the right to defend him. The screed concludes with “Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise, this is the creepy smiling face of an evil butcher!” I pointed out that Rush Limbaugh told you otherwise. So, the obvious question is, who are we to trust?
But, apparently, those who hate Romney can throw around all sorts of garbage about him and those who support him but let anyone dare to point out where you are wrong and that’s “slimy.” I guess the rules are made for me and not you.
Oh, so I can misconstrue what someone else says (despite the actual quotes above) but you don’t? Yours is the only possible interpretation?
