No suprise.
How do you convert a strong voluntary defense force into your own
personal cadre of politically-correct supplicants?
Present conditions that will make any patriotic American THINK TWICE
(or more) before voluntarily entering the US Military.
Obama has learned from the Clinton era.
Obama is now very smartly doing all within his power to drive off
any pro-American recruits. And discouraging re-enlistment by the
sane and patriotic.
I know that’s a cynical analysis. But when you make it clear you’re
ready to turn members of the US Military over to an un-American
judicial system, especially one that won’t recognize the UCMJ...
what sane person would sign up for the possibility of that sort of abuse?
I don't feel it is cynical or inaccurate in the least. Combine this with the ROE and the dithering about the reinforcement of troops in the field, there is very little to convince a truly professional soldier to reenlist. I remember My Lai and the politics that surrounded it. Now, don't get me wrong, the actions of Medina, Calley and others was deeply wrong and the intervention of CWO Thompson was very correct. However, the situation on the ground was complicated and perverted by the ROE and the anti-war scum in the USA. Just like what Afghanistan is beginning to resemble.
No American soldier should have to go into the field with such tentative support for the command structure and a hostile President and administration.
Glenn Beck's advise to his Nephew was correct and I would so advise any young people I know to quietly and honorably get out of the service.
