I got tagged as illiterate too - my answer = post #58

I never came across such a supposition as the poster in question proclaims either - and I have read veraciously on the subjects for decades -

Exactly - we would've been extinct long ago if nursing weakened a woman's immune system to the point of dying...good golly.

Sounds like theory postured to support the trend to stop nursing - back in the 50’s.

Ummmm, I think you just proved yourself wrong. You might want to read your statement again.

If one woman is not nursing her baby, then another one is...thereby decimating the immune system of another woman.

Actually Europeans and Eurasians always had a substitute available for mother’s milk. That was one of the earliest reasons for domesticating large mammals. They had cattle, and camels, and goats....early native American women did not have ANY substitute.

All that you posted is easily confirmed by multiple sources, most middle schoolers have rudimentary idea of what happened to the early American Indians wiped out by disease, except it is couched as evil white man killed off noble savage horse crap

You still have not sourced this concept of a " because ‘first American’ women were genetically flawed from there being no substitution for mother’s milk and they nursed their babies for years, depleting their immune systems."

That is what I find so "humorous"

But me being ignorant and illerate, I guess you can't expect anything more

Well, if your readings and writings didn’t take into effect proven scientific evidence, what can I say?

I teach sociology...I just don’t play the blame games. Facts are facts.

Oh, you might try just ONE of the many sources...a treatise written by Jared Diamond called “Guns, Germs, and Steel” that I use in my classes. This is a good compilation of history of humans based on scientific data. There are many, many others.

Yes Popman, I also would be interested in a source for that statement of Rowdy’s. Let’s wait and see if a source is produced.

I probably have read more than twenty books on the subject of pre-colonial times basically from the 1400's to the American revolution which of course includes many references to the American Indian and their history. Never in all my reading have I come across a "Native women flawed genetic theory"

Dollars to donuts, it's some off shoot of either multicultural nonsense or a religious spin on why the superior white man was not responsible for killing off the flawed injuns.

Jared Diamond ? :)

Yes, I have read Jared Diamond, not that particular book, but have read Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed

If you are getting your education from Jared Diamond I completely understand why you posted what you did.

Try reading actual factual histories rather than quasi liberal multicultural gobbledygook. Not saying his book isn't factual in many places, but if it is written in the same fashion as the one I read, it is heavy on assumptions with a light glaze of moonbattey to support liberal ideologue positions

Honestly, did you vote for Obama?

What’s really funny is that Diamond is not quoting his own science, but the science of others, and in no way is liberal. But do go on...there is getting really interestink.

No, but you obviously did, since you want to participate in blame games against the US.

And what else is really funny, is that at the time of the Civil War the population of the US had grown to only 31 million and people think the puny amount of Americans that landed at Plymouth Rock had the ability to eliminate 12 MILLION ‘native’ Americans! It’s hilarious!

See you are confusing me now. But after all, I am illiterate so I have an excuse to be easily confused.

I ask you for you to source your point about "genetically flawed first native women" and somehow that makes me "against the US"?????

BTW, I and several other posters are breathlessly waiting to see that theory.

I provided you with one reference, how about you reading some more scientific research on your own and expand the mind some. It’s out there...you go guy!

Better yet — screw the Collegiate Church, quit, and never go back. Better yet, burn it to the ground. US out of North America! ;’) Thanks hennie pennie. Seriously, I’d have let the pastor know beforehand that if he (or she?) went through with this BS, he could go - himself/herself.
