Cooking the books on climate
Orange County Register ^ | 27 November 2009 | Mark Steyn

My favorite moment in the Climategate/Climaquiddick scandal currently roiling the "climate change" racket was Stuart Varney's interview on Fox News with the actor Ed Begley Jr., star of the 1980s medical drama "St Elsewhere" but latterly better known, as is the fashion with members of the thespian community, as an "activist." He's currently in a competition with Bill Nye ("the Science Guy") to see who can have the lowest "carbon footprint." Pistols at dawn would seem the quickest way of resolving that one, but presumably you couldn't get a reality series out of it. Anyway, Ed was relaxed about the mountain of documents recently leaked from Britain's Climate Research Unit, in which the world's leading climate-change warm-mongers e-mail each other back and forth on how to "hide the decline" and other interesting matters.

Nothing to worry about, folks. "We'll go down the path and see what happens in peer-reviewed studies," said Ed airily. "Those are the key words here, Stuart. 'Peer-reviewed studies.'"

I saw most of the Varney/Begley interview and the impression I came away with is that Begley’s position is thus: I don’t care what the facts are, I’m going to keep beliving what I believe because I’m more intelligent than everyone else and know that nothing will ever convince me that the hypothesis of global warming is false.
Pretty typical progressive response if you ask me. Progressives throughly embraced Eugenics until Dr. Mengele actually made their wet dreams into nightmares.
Unfortunately, the demise of free enterprise will be the nightmare we are forced to live with.

We shall see how much other scientists, particularly so called climate scientists, call them on this journal manipulation. It is very important that they do.

The Ed Begleys of the world are basically dullwitted groupies who, because of their clelebrity status, are granted this spurious credibility by the whorehouse media. This particular over-the-hill TV character should go back to St Elsewhere and get some meds. Depakote might be a good start.

Hmmmm...peer reviews.
OK. Does that mean all scientists or just those studying climatology? What about physics that debunks global warming? Does the peer review get to take into account that the data is flawed from the git-go? Do they get to put the real data back into the calculations? Are non-global warming climatologists to be allowed any say in this peer review?
Or is this another attempt to whitewash the whole affair by having the foxes watch the hen house?

I saw the interview. Begley went insane. Screaming, eyes bugging out, spittle flying, arms thrashing, purple-faced, he turned into a freak show of close-minded Marxism. Not once would he admit that there can be any doubt about the “global warming” hoax. Quite a show.

Photobucket

Former Senator and Vice President Al Gore seen here en-route back to prison after a federal appeals court refused to review his 20 year sentence for his lead role as spokesperson in the “Climategate” fraud conspiracy. The same court recently rejected the appeals of the lengthy sentences of the 137 alleged UN “scientists” – Gore’s co-conspirators – for falsifying data supporting so-called Cap and Trade legislation that trial testimony disclosed would have virtually destroyed what remained of the U.S. economy while enriching Gore and a cabal of insiders.
