It must be very hard to sit at the same table with Bill Press and keep yourself from calling him a moron to his stupid face. I couldn’t do it.

I think guys like Press have this mindset that we’re somehow still in the era of Dinah Shore and Mike Douglas, and that anyone who steps beyond that genteel framework is the next Howard Beale.

I don’t always agree with Beck, and there are times where I wish he’d dial it back a notch or three, but that’s his style. If I don’t like it, I don’t have to watch. I refute the idea that he’s “a ticking time bomb” or that his statements are a threat to the public at large. Was comparing Landrieu to a prostitute nice? Maybe not. Was it inaccurate? Not if you believe she sold her vote. And it doesn’t even begin to approach the venom spewed by the likes of Olbermann or Maher. If anyone is likely to go Woody Hayes, it’s probably Keith Olbermann. How many times has he raved about Joe Lieberman being “The Senator from Aetna”?

When Bill Press makes such statements about Beck and fails to say anything about the hatred and venom constantly spewed by Matthews and Olberman, well, Press make himself look like a shamless, partisan hack, or an unobservant fool who's too uninformed to have a public forum.

If Bill Press(titute) is so aghast at what Beck is saying, then he should be sent into a coma by the rantings of Olbermann, Matthews, Maddow, et al.
