Life imprisonment is the minimum punishment for anyone convicted of having gay sex, under an anti-homosexuality bill currently before Uganda's parliament. If the accused person is HIV positive or a serial offender, or a "person of authority" over the other partner, or if the "victim" is under 18, a conviction will result in the death penalty.
Members of the public are obliged to report any homosexual activity to police with 24 hours or risk up to three years in jail – a scenario that human rights campaigners say will result in a witchhunt.Ugandans breaking the new law abroad will be subject to extradition requests.

I agree. I rate homosexuality as a perversion, an unnatural act, and a practice that is detrimental to any society, but I dont believe people should be executed for it. And this proviso that people who refuse to inform on them be subject to imprisonment is frankly very frightening.

How did “strangers” know he was a gay man?
And if he didn’t like the insults, why didn’t he do something so that “strangers” would have no idea what his “preference” is?
I don’t know the answers to these questions, because I’m not going to read beyond such an absurd lead, because it is a continuation of the PC brainwashing. We are supposed to assume that the homosexuals’ sexuality is a state/condition known to all, even strangers, but never noticed or acknowledged, and that it should receive no undue attention, other than being celebrated.
That is how schizophrenic the anti-establishment radicals are making society.

Success in reducing AIDS basically depends on sexual abstinence. Condom distribution is a sure-fire method for spreading AIDS. There was a similar statistical history in the Phillipines, also mostly a Catholic country.

Actually, the hysteria about Ugandan AIDS was unfounded. The "success" was that, there was no pandemic in the first place. I lived in Africa back then. The joke was, "If you're Ugandan and die in a car wreck, they count you as an AIDS victim".
For a generation there were horror stories about unfortunate nations that would be wiped out by AIDS. One year Thailand. Next Russia. India, etc. Guess what. It never happened.
Uganda is an African country, so this legislation will draw only annoyed tsk tsks from US Democrat queers.
