Somewhat irrational statement?....

Why would any politically sane person and/or a true Conservative vote for a presidential candidate that had a running mate who was not qualified to be President?

This is so ironic because I was asking myself the same question about people who said they were voting for Palin but NOT McCain...who just happened to be on the top spot of the ticket.

Many Palinistas are at best inconsistent, at middling they are illogical and at worst they purposely delude themselves to provide a fig leaf to hide their inconsistency and illogic.

In all my days at FR I have never seen a more fanciful use of rationalization than the phrase “I didn't vote for McCain, I voted for Sarah”.

Uhhh, you voted for McCain and if you've actually convinced yourself you didn't then you are to far gone for any politician or political strategist to worry much about.
