He said that it was entirely possible that “corporate interests” had had a hand in the leak . . .

I think a much more plausable explaination is that it was Martians that leaked the documents. Think about it. If the global warming continues, all the humans will die, and it will be a lot easier for them to come down and take over the planet.

Well, if anyone can suck the CO2 from the atmosphere, Rajendra Pachauri can! He certainly sucks!

These people are absolutely INSANE. How people that have no understanding of anything get into such high positions of power completely baffles me.

Be assured that Pauchauri and the rest of the Climate Change leadership is completely sane and highly intelligent. They know full well they're manufacturing a hoax -- but they're profiting from it and it serves their political agenda.

It is their followers who are, if not politically insane, then scientifically ignorant.

The big question is: In what group does Nobel Laureate Algore belong? Conspirator? Or Dupe?

Of course planting trees never came up.

Nor does the idea of building more nuclear plants.

Translation of article’s core concept: “Time you rich ‘mericans spend many, many dollah in Turd World to capture carbon.”

Actually reading the article to the very end was lucky! The solution to the AGW problem is right there:
"Reflective buildings: Between 10 and 50 per cent of solar radiation can be reflected back out of the atmosphere by painting buildings and road surfaces in light colours."
50% of solar radiation can be reflected right back out of the atmosphere! A little drawback is that with 2/3rds of the earth covered with water we're going to have to paint the oceans white too so that'll take a while but it could take care of the unemployment problem ...

Although I am not a scientist I did take a very tough physics class in high school and I'm betting that whatever radiation heats the atmosphere as it comes in from the sun is going to heat it up on its way out and a fair amount will end up being bounced back down - not just reflected into outer space! These warm-mongering people are losing it .., let's keep up the pressure! ;-)

This is about as crazy as it gets. Imagine.. vast areas of C02 absorbing plants to “strip the earth of C02”. So we would have more oxygen around to OXIDIZE us? We already have CO2 absorbers... they are called plants, and the ocean’s algae which produce oxygen in the BALANCE. Absolute idiocy. No one can take these people seriously, except if you have a portfolio which stands to benefit from the creation of these “green” industrial efforts.

On the one hand, I think it’s nearly impossible for man to change the climate, or the planet, significantly. On the other, you have to wonder if utter morons like this guy aren’t going to put into place practices that doom us all.

ANother part of that Turd World “scientists” writing: “...sowing the oceans with iron ore to boost plankton growth”.

The Sahara already does that with any anthropogenic help. When it so does with vigor, the extra iron appears to cause coral bleaching in the entire Caribbean.

"Dr Pachauri, speaking to The Times on Saturday before travelling to Paris to brief President Sarkozy, suggested that the fossil fuel lobby could be behind a hacking incident last month that led to the publication of thousands of leaked e-mails between climate scientists."

Hey, dumbass Pachauri, it doesn't matter WHO released the emails, code, and data. What matters is the incriminating evidence contained therein which proves that your whole house of cards is built on FRAUD and FAKERY. Reputable scientists just don't do the kind of stuff documented there.

You know, I have felt for some time that Big Oil was also heavily invested in carbon credit markets, inasmuch as they are the largest holders of “carbon” if you will, and could both control the endpoint of crude oil refinements, plastics, etc, AND at the same time make a major bundle on “gaming” the carbon market. They also have the money to seriously affect this so called market, and it would also make sense as a built in “hedge-fund” against enviro whacks.

Dr Pachauri know the truth ~ Dr. Jones went through his files, found strange emails he knew would destroy his little empire and then asked the correspondents to delete them on their end.

He took his set, copied them to a supposedly safe server in Russia, and deleted everything about them at his end.

About 6 weeks later he discovered the Russians had lied to him about security on that server (Ha, ha, ha, ha, ~ oh, tie me up until I stop laughing ~ ha, ha, ha, ha, ha).

No one hacked it. Odds are there's an index page copy on Google.com.

Someone looking for "Climate", "Jones", "Mann" simply ran into the neatly organized files on the Russian server, copied them over and began reading the goodies.

The lesson ~ when you engage in lies they may catch up to you.

Now back to Dr Pachauri, he may well keep his select file of pornographic pictures on that same server.

I’ve discovered that a lot of software engineers, my colleagues, are blazing left-wingers. It astonishes me that people so smart can be so obtuse.

I cannot wrap my head around their thought processes.

Actually, “greenhouse gases” has a far more technical term he should use to confuse people, it is called RAIN.
